My mother and I enjoyed a delicious lunch today. This place is a delicious hidden locals gem; family owned and operated for years! The service was wonderful. Our server was pleasant and efficient, not to mention very kind. We ordered a Beef salad as an appetizer for mom and I to enjoy. Unfortunately, we didn’t specify that we wanted it served as an appetizer, and our meals and salad arrived at the same time. Our meals were prepared quickly and served hot. I didn’t get any pictures of the food today because mom and I were enjoying one another’s company so much. The pictures posted are after our meal while enjoying hot tea. Mom ordered chicken red Curry and enjoyed it served with rice . I had a delicious version of Drunken Noodles chicken ordered mild. I could have definitely turned up the heat, but that’s just me. We brought hoke chicken pad thai and chicken fried rice for hubby. I would have liked lime with the pad thai. It was good but the lime or fresh cucumber would have made the dish more flavorful. I’m having the fried rice later and will update the review next go around with food pics.

Thai Papaya had a nice dining space with really attentive, friendly and quick staff. The food was pretty good Thai at a fair price. They also do a discount for service members in uniform. Would definitely go again.

The food is phenomenal fresh, hot, with many options to choose from. However, the prices for one dish is outrageous one order of Thai fried rice $20!!!(no combo) Unacceptable… also the smell in the restaurant recks sewage not sure what’s going on with plumbing hopefully, that gets fixed and fresh water is served instead of tap water

Nice decor. Friendly service. Red curry was ok. Not the best. But the veggies were fresh. Drunken noodles were bland. Sticky rice and mango are what you would expect for winter time. Overall I rate it OK. I will not travel out of my way to eat here again.

AVOID THIS PLACE at all costs! They cannot make proper Thai food! There are NO zero stars so I could not choose it. I ordered drunken noodles and if I had to rate it it would be 4/10. I ate half of it and I didn’t even want to box the other half! Then I decided to try a salad so I ordered a papaya salad to take out and the papaya was wilted and the fish sauce was not even prepared properly -very salty and stinky! I called immediately after I tasted it at the hotel about 8 minutes a way. They said they were closed. They said they will not take it back because I was required to open the dish and taste it at the restaurant before I leave the restaurant! In all of my take out orders I was never required to do that and none of my friends /colleagues have ever heard of such a ridiculous policy. Then I told them I will bring it back not the next day but the day after and the server said Okay . ( I had to work 9-9 next day and they would be closed) . When I brought it back the manager claimed she served me! She did not! It was the first time I saw her face. Plus she is short , heavily made up and on the chubby side. My server was tall and skinny with no make up. Then she asked the owner -the elderly lady- and the owner said I have had it for 2 days BUT they KNOW I COULD NOT COME BECAUSE THEY WERE CLOSED WHEN I CALLED AND I LET THEM KNOW I WAS WORKING SO I COULD NOT COME THE NEXT DAY ! It came with rice and I did not even touch the rice. I told them that I could not eat it …it was too salty. It was like they just pour neat fish sauce on it. They told me this is their recipe. I have Thai friends . I have eaten at many Thai restaurants in different states and different countries so I know what is a good and authentic papaya salad/recipe should taste like. A good chef should know how to prepare it properly. This IS THEIR recipe they said and if I did not like it ..it is too bad…well it is an awful one and good chefs have good recipes. Where is their customer service? Do they even understand what that is? As you can see they found all ridiculous and unreasonable excuses to not make it right!

As a person that has lived in Thailand before, this is much more authentic than most self proclaimed Thai restaurants. The prices are outstanding, and the food is quite good. The service was quite good as well. It’s rare for me to give a five star rating to any place.
