I’ve been here two times before and every experience has been great! The food is delicious and the servers are very nice, especially the server I had tonight! I don’t know what her name was..I think she had bangs, black hair, really soft voice but she was so incredibly sweet and really made our experience amazing! Great place.

My wife and I love Korean food and we are so glad we tried out K-Nam. We ordered a spicy tuna roll, Korean fried chicken wings, Soondubu Jigae, and Yukgaejang. Everything we had was delicious! The spicy tuna roll was fresh, the chicken wings were perfectly crispy and spicy, and the soups were my absolute favorite. The soups are so full of flavor and give that “comfort food” vibe.

We visited the restaurant for the first time on a Friday evening and we told the waitress that we normally go to Pacific rim here in Sarasota. We would think that she should’ve taken initiative and given us a really good service but she took it like a grain of salt. We ordered drinks. She did not come with the beer at all after a reminder. She said do I want a beer before I ordered duh! and we just looked dumbfounded , we could not order more food because she wasn’t coming out of the back the two girls there looked like they just started working there. The food was OK. Unfortunately we would never go back. Sushi needs a lot of work. And the bill was expensive for the amount of food you get and the lack of quality we normally pay lots of money when we get sushi which we don’t mind but it was expensive for a little bit of food. Unfortunately, we have to give the review that we did. sorry I have to be honest. It seemed like it was the first day they opened.

This place was beyond what I could have imagined! The staff was so incredibly friendly, and the food was beyond mouth watering. We had a variety of rolls, the sweet potato roll, crunchy salmon, pirate, and the dream roll they were all absolutely incredible and were the most flavorful rolls I’ve ever had. 10/10

They didn’t even have a full house and took a long time to get our orders ready. Everyone that came before us received their orders. I was getting very irritated that they didn’t atleast explain to use that they may need more time. We were there for a total 3 hrs. If you want authentic Korean food this is not the place for you, because their target isn’t you. If their expertise is sushi, they shouldnt have named it K-nam! Soup was bland and sweet! Jajangmyeon was very salty and bland. Kimchi pancake was still very doughy inside. Our waiter turned our grill on 40 min prior to bringing out meat. I didn’t see the point of having a burner on when it wasn’t coming anytime soon so I turned it off until I was certain he was going to bring it. As a K barbecue place, their meat selection is pretty limited. I was very disappointed in the service more so then the food. I will not be going back and will block them from my facebook. Do not believe the full star reviews on here.

We really wanted to love this place. We had a reservation, we sat down ordered wine,sake and kirin…. Took a bit to get i had asked for a glass for the kirin so I could make a sake bomb. Sorry all glasses are dirty. Ok I’ll wait. Forgotten about we flagged waitress down. Got a hot glass. Ordered dumplings, sushi, and seaweed salad as appetizers…..none of it was out, waitress asked if we were ready to put our entrees in we said ok as long as everything else comes out prior. None of it came out prior, the meats for our grill arrived nothing else waitress said I’m going to put it on the grill the owner wants that done. Me, well we don’t have sushi (which I have never had sushi made with plain rice and not sushi rice) we don’t have any appetizers and we are now ready for additional drinks…she didn’t bring us plates I asked for the sides that come with the grill. We had to ask the other waitress to bring them and the lettuce and rice. Our server was nice but she literally had no clue about anything serving wise. We were ignored the whole time and for spending several hundred dollars for two people on food I would think someone would pay attention. There was a waitress with curly hair but not our waitress and clearly busy with her own tables. If it hadn’t been for her we would still be sitting at our table waiting. Then to top it off we asked for the check and boxes our waitress arrived to deliver that and I said Ah there’s a bug on your shirt it was a roach. She smacked it and it landed in our lettuce ….. our take home is in our trash can. We won’t go back.

Wow, wow, and wow! Best Korean barbecue I’ve had in years! Food was fabulous. Got the beef bulgogi. Flavors and textures of the preselected sides were wonderful. The best sushi roll I’ve ever had. Called it the pirate roll. Our waitress was so nice and helpful in how to use the grill to cook and eat our entree, too.

Do yourself a favor and visit K-Nam Korean BBQ & Sushi if you’re ever in the Sarasota area. The service is unmatched. Daniel, one of the best servers I’ve ever had, very charming and did everything in a timely manner. Make sure to ask for him! The atmosphere is chill and welcoming and everyone there is super friendly. I’ve tried multiple Korean restaurants but I will say this is by far one of the most delicious and authentic places I’ve ever been to. So many delightful dishes, beautiful presentation, a wide wine list and wonderful desserts. Everything I tasted just melted into my mouth. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Sarasota.
