I live one block away so it’s really convenient. Naomi runs the diner with her daughters. The last time I stopped in, the meal I got ended up being eaten 3 different times. And each time was delicious. I think I’ll stop by today. Yummy.

Passed by this spot a few times and everything about it screamed “authentic’. I happened to be in the area with the Mrs so I decided “hey let’s finally check out that one taco spot”. I had the birria tacos and she had the steak and shrimp burrito. Both were everything we expected and more.. very very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Not much else to say, if you’re in the area you gotta stop by. I bet it’ll quickly become one of your favorite lowkey Mexican joints in the city.

Stopped here as it was close by on the way home. The prices are considerably higher than most I’ve found with similar menu selection. Tacos average to over $3 each. The birria was good and I would order again. The steak used in my quesadilla was left way too greasy for my liking. Felt it should have been drained better. Took away from the taste. While the food was overall good it lacked seasoning. Their chips and salsa were really good. The service was friendly and we will give it another shot. It was late and maybe not the best time to go.

This place has the absolute best tasting foods you’ll ever eat regardless of what you order. You’ll be ready to take a nap afterward. Yes! It’s that delicious, so bring your appetite. The owner made homemade tea we purchased, and she gave us a sample of rice water. She makes everything from scratch. I won’t go anywhere else for Hispanic food.

Best and most authentic vegetarian tacos I’ve ever had including outside of Indiana and by an actual Mexican lol 🙂 really liked that they did not use styrofoam for cup and salsa for chips did not come in single-use cups. However, tortillas were quite greasy and meat was of variable quality (had a few pieces of fat I couldn’t chew through). Apparently they just opened in March and the building is old, so the A/C wasn’t working, but the outside temperature is about 80 and didn’t feel like it was too bad, and they were accommodating. Don’t let the outside appearance or location deter you! We’ll come check it out again after some time to see if the food has improved when they’ve had some breathing room to work on that.

The inside is a little small, but they have a smooth online ordering system to do takeout.. I had birria tacos, and a carnitas and pastor taco. They were all generously filled with meat. The pastor taco was probably the best I’ve ever had in that style. The carnitas taco was delicious as well. The star of the show had to be the birria tacos however. These, along with the consome they were served with were extremely good. Highly recommended local spot.

I got the Birria tacos and the meat was very tender and had a nice amount of fat. On other hand my birria had no what seemed no chilies for the red color and amazing taste/heat. The consume was the same way lacking spices but very deeply rich.

Outstanding neighborhood Mexican food place that reminds me of some of the best spots from the Pilsen neighborhood in Chicago. Selected three tacos (chicken, carnitas and chorizo) and my first two were good but the chorizo tasted like perfection in a soft corn wrap. Beans and rice were a nice compliment instead of just fluff on the side of the plate. Some outside tables but indoor dining was perfect with a fun bicycle on the wall with colorful LED lighted tires for ambiance.

Delicious! Birria tacos w consume were SO good i could cry. Everything came out really fast and our waitress was very nice 🙂 and the rice tasted like my aunts homemade rice, felt like home.
