We were wowed by this pizza! Best pizza EVER. My husband and I shared the Bianca and an order of buffalo wings for dinner. The Bianca was so delicious. It’s hard to even describe the cheesy goodness. You just have to try it! The wings were fine, fairly realistic and had a lot of spice, but they were really messy and I don’t think I loved wings all that much back before going vegan. I wouldn’t order the wings again when those incredible pizzas are available. I can’t wait to try more of the pizzas! The people working at Boxcar were super nice, and we loved the indoor/outdoor dog-friendly patio area that is shared by all the businesses in the Zipper building. You could easily order from multiple places in the building, including a cocktail bar, and eat at the shared tables.

Edit: just came back for a solo lunch date. Slice of the day cheeseburger?? Fuggettaboutit. Grabbed one of those and the new Chicken Bacon Ranch slice on special! Had to. Had to. They were ready in less than 5 minutes! Super fast lunch on the go! They were both so good! Devoured immediately. Don’t forget to grab yourself napkins! Like me

Y’all Boxcar Pizza has PERFECTED gluten-free and vegan pizza. The flavors are extraordinary, the cheese is creamy, and the crust is pillowy soft, yet crispy. I’ve been here a couple of times and have not been disappointed. 10/10 would recommend!

Perhaps my favorite, most indulgent meal that I had during my stay in Portland. This Detroit-style vegan pizza joint is a MUST visit. Even if you don’t think you’re in the mood for pizza… you won’t regret coming here. My brother and I had the bacon cheeseburger pizza, the Jimmy pesto, and the Nashville hot chick’n one. Their plant-based drumsticks were also excellent, even their pizza is the main attraction.

We love their pizza, deep dish or not, great pie here, and they always have fresh ones ready to go. This is a great a great local establishment, brag some pizza and beer, then grab a table either inside or outside under their covered space with gas fire places. Bring your friends and your appetite.

I was pleasantly surprised how good the pizza here was. The pizzas here are plant based. We ordered a slice of their special jackfruit birria pizza. The texture and flavors were all there. The consume helped elevate it to another level.
