We are excited and Proud of being the first Seafood Mexican Restaurant in Wilmington. El Mariscal brings the famous flavors of Nayarit Food, and other delicious dishes from the Mexican Costa including Octopus, Snapper, Shrimp, and Oysters prefer to pair with refreshing and creative cocktails from Cantaritos to Micheladas and of course Margaritas.
The cool and refreshing ambiance sets the mood for the freshest seafood with Mexican roots. The flavors are unique to the coasts of Mexico, offered nowhere else in this area.
For this particular concept we invited one of the best Mexican seafood chefs on the east coast, we are happy to have chef Marcelo on the team thanks to his large experience In many different states.

An adorable restaurant with a great atmosphere, and even better staff. We came here with a party of five and were able to sample quite a few options on the menu; fried fish, shrimp, steak, and lobster. The food was absolutely delicious, with great presentation, and at reasonable prices. We will be revisiting next time we come to the beach!

I’d say it’s the best mexican restaurant in the US. You guys are lucky to have it in NC. I was pleased to find the place in my 4th of July trip from Washington D.C. The tostadas of octopus and shrimp are amazing. The service was also great. I’d say the food tastes better than in actual Mexico, I’m born and raised there. Life changing experience really.

While the food might not taste exactly like the dishes in Mexico, it comes quite close. The desserts, in particular, were very delicious. The waitress provided a warm and welcoming service, which added to the overall positive experience. Great birthday dinner at a cute Mexican seafood restaurant. Started with large house margarita that was fresh and full of tequila flavor. The grilled pulpo(octopus) was perfectly cooked with chile butter sauce. Haven’t had pulpo this good since Spain. The whole fish fell off the bone with a crispy skin with an adobado sauce that was rich and bursting with flavor. Finished with churros con chocolate, crispy and great cinnamon flavor. We will definitely be back for more pulpo and ceviche.

Incredible array of offerings from drinks to food, and every last sip / bite is as delicious as the first. Friendly and attentive staff, upbeat atmosphere, but the food … oh my goodness the food. Don’t wait to try it. We finished our meal an hour ago and our whole family is still raving about it. We started with a house Margarita, Piña Colada, and calamari, and as our meals ordered the tuna tostada and a chimichanga. Generous servings, delicious food, great experience. Well done, El Mariscal! Great place if you want a different taste of seafood or Mexican food. Service and atmosphere was excellent after a day at the beach. We had the seafood molcajete and the shrimp culichi and both were excellent. Portions are big and everything is delicious.
