We decided on trying this restaurant after a Google search for the area and reading many reviews. Turned out to be an excellent choice!!! We sat outside where there’s an enjoyable view on the waterfront street and across to the beach and ocean. The atmosphere works perfectly so you can enjoy the view plus watch the parade of nice looking people walking up and down the promenades. The restaurant servers are all pleasant and smily, well groomed, and quick to engage in conversation. The menu offers enough choices for those wishing variety, but it’s also possible to tailor the dishes to your personal tastes. The portions are just the right size too, and I mean not gigantic like many another American establishment! Prices are modest, but don’t come here and try to be cheap. There’s also a couple of well stocked boutiques on both sides of the restaurant where a couple in love can share some fun time shopping for absolutely necessary non-necessities…. Parking could be a challenge, but no worries, there’s a ground level garage right behind the restaurant that will have safe spaces for the fee of $20. If you’ve got the urge for a perfect evening with your significant other, this place is a 100% winner.

Café Del Mar is on a complete other level here in Fort Lauderdale, truly one of the best locations for a romantic dinner or a family lunch with their sea side views and sensational food and drinks. The service crew gives incredible recommendations and cater to your every wish.

The half price apps at the bar were delicious and a great deal. We got the cocktail shrimp, onion ring tower, bruschetta, and calamari. Buy one get one jumbo drinks are around $30 and were just okay. Didn’t really taste like they had alcohol in them. I would come back just for the food. Also watch out for the automatic service charge.

Nothing but great things to say. My oysters on the half shell and cevichi were top notch. Look at these 2 for 1 happy hour drinks. Visited in August so it wasn’t busy. Sanya was an amazing server that made the experience that much better.

Our waiter was the best. I think his name was Gerardo, extremely pleasant and funny. Recommended the octopus, which was amazing, along with the calamari and filet mignon. All the food was delicious and well prepared. Plates were big, along with the Margaritas which were HUGE and buy one get one free. 10/10 recommend for family, groups, any kind of date. Don’t expect to pay cheap. It’s definitely worth the price for the great time you’re having and amazing food.

Be careful of the short guy waiter (his voice like espanol). Order cheating ! Higher bill than it should be. 1st, he closed the menu and tried to tell us what they have by talking very fast and force us to order what they want us order. 2nd, we call 1 order for 40$ on the menu we picked, came out 2 orders which is 112 on the bill. He said 2 people choose same item so i came out 2 orders for same item , nothing we can do about it, you have to take it or trouble . 2 drinks, by one get one and 2items (which we just call 1 ) for $189 which should be 110 around! Stay away or be careful when you order and record video when you order for evidence !
