Always have loved the Tavern since I was a kid. Good memories of Valley Junction. Great food. Mike was our server & he couldn’t have been more attentive. We tried the bacon cheeseburger pizza for the first time & I’ll probably get that every time from now on. With pickles, & we hate pickles! Great spot.

The seating area is older and needing some updates. Every booth I’ve ever sat in had no support left and a beam cutting into my back. The menu will frustrate you. They have a “side salad” but its not a choice for sides offered with meals. Nickel and Dime’d me with all the substitution ‘penalties’ I like to call them. The food has disappointed the last couple times ive been in (soggy specially pizza, flavorless ham sandwich, bland chicken parm) so ive reduced the rating to 2 stars.

The food – we had the pizza and grinders – was very good. The onion rings, which are homemade and are the thin variety, we delicious. We did, however, make the mistake of ordering the large – which more than fed our group of four, switch leftovers for four more. The moral – order the large only if you have a party of 6 or more.

Went here for a birthday party. They had the party room reserved. Salad was pretty good. Cheese sticks were good. Pizza was fantastic. I had the pepperoni, Graziano sausage, and the grinder pizza. Also tried the chicken Alfredo pizza and it was excellent. Our server was outstanding. Ask for the lemonade with grenadine in it. The kids loved it.

Food was not up to par. The onion rings weren’t as good as they usually are, and the pizza was way greasy. I’ve eaten there for many years, typically love it. This must have been an off night, was not impressed at all. The service was excellent. Because prices are up everywhere, I would think twice before returning.

We ordered onion rings. In the past years that’s what we loved the most. When they served then they was nothing but crumbs. Actually 2 rings the size of your small fingernail. What a let done. That order should have never been brought to our table. Especially at the price of $9.50 an order. Just sayin.
