Everything was above average except cocktails. Prime rib was especially very good. The meat melts in your mouth. The drunken ribeye was also very delicious. You must try the French onion soup. The balance was perfect and flavorful. And the cheese and crackers were also very good. Our server was very friendly and witty. And the price was reasonable.

Last night in Lake George and glad we spend it here! Kelly had made sure we felt accommodated by ensuring we had everything we needed. Salad was good, could be fresher. Bread was warm and yummy. Had a hefty portion of steak but it was more medium well vs. medium rare. Everything else was good including the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. I indulged, I know. Argentinian Malbec was decent considering the price.

Superb experience at Caldwell House. Log cabin design, cozy interior, varied menu, prompt, attentive service and martini selection. Started with a vodka martini. Ordered sirloin steak and baked from the early order menu – comes complete with salad, fresh bread, vegetables and dessert. Everything was excellent. Nikia, our server was wonderful.

I’m staying up in Schroon Lake. Searched for restaurant with steak. And boy what a find….I got prime rib and it was really good…I got it more on the rare side which they can do. And talk about mouth watering..I highly recommend this place today is 9/1/23

OMG, What a great experience. From the warm welcome we received to the exemplary service during the entire dinner. A cool rustic vibe very appropriate for the area. I had the Prime Rib with Lobster Tail, and the Prime Rib was their smallest cut. Look at the picture. Such a generous portion and cooked to perfection. I expected a minimal Lobster Tail to accompany this but was pleasantly surprised at the size and the flavor of this quality seafood. I asked the server (Josh) for what was made in-house for the dessert and again was amazed that they made a good portion of their desserts there. The Bread Pudding (homemade) was amazing and finished the meal perfectly. I would be remiss if I did not mention that my server Josh was outstanding at his craft. From his recommendations to the staging of the meal was perfection. After talking with him, it shows his experience at being their for 9 years. I highly recommend this venue and will return here often as I travel to this region on business. When I vacation here, it will become a regular dining spot. Bravo!

We knew nothing of this restaurant when my husband was looking for a nice meal for our 20th wedding anniversary. I am so glad he found this gem. One of the top 5 meals I’ve ever had. Food was outstanding! A nice no rush pace to the meal. The atmosphere was cozy albeit a little kitchy with some of the things on the walls, but a warm welcoming space. We will definitely return.
