The Hideaway is definitely an appropriate name for this hidden gem. Tucked away in a predominantly residential neighborhood, “somewhere in Odenton” MD, I was blown away by the quality of the food. I started off with the Crab Dip, which was enough to feed a small army. I then decided the Smoked Brisket sounded delicious. And it did not disappoint! Tender, juicy, flavorful, and filling. Paired with Cole Slaw and Baked Beans for a true Southern style dinner, this was probably the best brisket I’ve ever had. Particularly when smothered in the homemade Bourbon Molasses BBQ sauce. If you find yourself in the DC/Baltimore area, please do yourself a favor and find The Hideaway.

It’s called the Hideway for a reason! Located off Rout 175, a few hundred yards behind the fire station (put the location in your GPS!).

The Hideaway suits its name. This place is tucked in and really hidden away but had a number of patrons there enjoying the place.

This place is very popular and I understand why. Its very lively and the food is very good. The place is a place you might have to wait to be seated because the food is so good. We never saw this hideaway gem. It may be a parking issue, but you can park on the street. The food was definitely worth the wait. We ordered the sample plater which had some ribs, bone in wings, pulled pork, and brisket. It also came with two sides. We ordered green beans and brussel sprouts. We also ordered the cornbread…delicious. we ordered a side of baked beans which was supposed to be cooked with bits of brisket, I didn’t see any meat but oh well. The food was good. What was not to my liking was it was only one womens stall restroom in this restaurant. All these people waiting. The sever was serving our table and many outside and inside to the point I got up and asked for some boxes and my check. I will definitely recommend this place for the food. I will pick up the next time or go when it’s not so crowded. The food is worth it. They also have special nights for entertainment.

We tried this place for the first time yesterday. We ordered dry rubbed wings for appetizer. They were amazing. Very crisp and flavorful.

A must stop for BBQ lovers! The grilled Caesar was awesome for those that don’t want as much as the sampler shown. Nice local craft beer selection. Great bourbon list.

I came here the day after Father’s Day so a lot of their smoked specials were not available because they were still grilling 🙁 but their smoked wings (with hot dry rub) were available and they were fantastic! It went well with their hideaway sauce that had a sweet tang to it. I also ordered their crabby fries which was basically Maryland crab dip with cheese on top of some fries.

Great food, and we loved our experience with Katy as our server. She is hilarious, friendly, and had good recommendations. The one thing I’ll recommend above everything is their cornbread with honey butter. Absolutely delicious. Definitely a neighborhood gem.
