Very very fun bar and restaurant. They have a lot of cocktail options and beers on tap. The food comes in big portions. Very very delicious burgers and sandwiches. Sides are good too. The service was just ok, friendly but left something to be desired. The patio is beautiful. There’s quite a bit of seating but it’s a popular spot and fills up. Again fun bar with their unique specials and trivia nights and other fun events. Good spot. Love the tiki bar.

Never been here before but went based on Google reviews. They were correct and I’m glad I stopped for supper! Had a tap beer and pizza (Pepperoni, sausage, black olive). Service was fast, friendly, and pizza very good.

Sat on the patio on a lovely evening after a hike to Spirit Mound. Incredible poutine with fried cheese curds, hunks of beef, and a delicious ale gravy. Best poutine I’ve had. Walleye fish and chips was super tasty— a nice big filet, well battered, served piping hot. Delicious kale-apple slaw too. Lava graham cracker cake was solid.

Great place to stop for a great cocktail and bistro food! There’s a great shaded patio with lots of seating in warmer months.

I like this brewery. Big town feel in the small town. Patio is a great place to sit outside and enjoy a cold one or enjoy some food. The beer selection was fairly good as well. I am a cider person, and they had a few alternatives for me. Craft beers for the rest of the group. Brisket special was very good, inexpensive, and more than enough. Will be back.

Food and service are consistently good here. I eat/drink here usually every 2 weeks or so, getting to the point where I’ll probably have eaten everything on the menu by the end of the year.

Opening the Brickhouse during a terrible financial time was an absolute gamble. Covid was…well, what it was/is- covid. And Brickhouse was in the makings well before that but came to fruition just before it hit. Jim and Monica were seen working on the façade THEMSELVES in order to make this taphouse a success. And it is. Jim and Monica have stuck with this town through thick and covid and we thank you- we thank you by enjoying your wonderful food (Wagu Beef on the dinner menu- I can’t thank you enough!) And your staff- the best. Stephen and Zach take a bow, but all of the Brick House/Cafe Brule staff work so hard to provide a wonderful experience. They do. I wish I could name them all but I can’t remember all of their names lol. And- a new chef!! Job well done!! (Wagu Beef- yep, I said it). Thanks to the Brickhouse/Cafe Brule team for providing captivating dishes, wonderful service, and a terrific dining experience.

Wonderful local favorite, evidenced by how busy they were on the Thursday we visited. We enjoyed dinner and drinks at the bar. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was great! Actually kinda surprised at how good it was. Will 100% go back next time I’m in the area.

This is just the type of restaurant Vermillion needed. Dakota Brick House is not one of the usual college bars, but a true cocktail bar serving the classics and anything else you can come up with. The selection was great and the menu prices were very reasonable. Definitely give the beer cheese a try while you’re here. Our server, a college student, was very helpful and friendly. I was a little disappointed in the preparation of a couple of the cocktails, but I would like to come back again and try some others.
