The food was pretty bomb. And I would definitely go again. It’s worth the visit when you are in the area. It’s a quiet spot earlier in the day, but I’m not sure at night. The workers there were very friendly and nice.

Being from Pennsylvania, I laughed at the claim that it had the #1 cheesesteak in America, but after after trying the “The Philly”, I have to admit it comes pretty close. I added mushrooms and mayo to mine, and it was as tasty as the ones I eat back home. Plus, it was so huge and stuffed with steak that it made for a nice second meal. I also ordered Vinny’s sweet ranch fries and a coke to round things out. It was one of the better lunches I’ve had in awhile. The person who took our order was very nice, and only wish I could see what the place felt like before COVID hit. Norwich is lucky to have this place.

Complete and utter disgust. For a place that I’ve gone to as a kid and now see it completely falling apart. I’ve never thought that phillys would be a business that has people ignoring order pickup calls and a business who joined the ones who aren’t even in it for the money anymore. Absolutely disgusted. These business owners just in it for the tax right offs I recommend you rehire your call answerer as well due to the disrespect he has given before when picking up and as well as over the phone.

This restaurant is amazing!! The server was so kind, and talked about his family which was relatable and gave me an at home comfort. I got “the doctor” which is a Philly with sweet and hot peppers. It was so full of everything, super full and well balanced. If I ever drive through this way again, this will be my first stop! Thankyou, Ed for such a beautiful experience!

Phillies is honestly really cheap with their buffalo chicken fries. They give you a Lotta fries but such a small amount of buffalo chicken. My best suggestion to Phillies is add the same amount of fries that they do the buffalo chicken and stop being so damn cheap!

I came here due to the positive ratings and expected the food to be good. Me and my boyfriend went here for takeout the dining area was dark and seemed closed we waited about 20min after ordering our food. We got two cheesesteak sandwiches and I got the chicken Buffalo fries for a side. We ate the food right after getting it but it seemed luke warm and not very fresh. The bread was very soft almost soggy and was falling apart. The cheesesteak was pretty salty a bit too salty for me and my boyfriends taste. The fries also were very soft and almost soggy even eating them right away. Too much dressing/sauce on the fries other then that they were ok. Food was just ok ..nothing great that I would come back for. Maybe their quality has changed due to the pandemic …but my experience definitely does not reflect all the reviews commenting about great food.

Wow a Philly cheese steak done right in CT! Don’t fear the cheese wiz it is the absolute best I have tried many cheese steaks, all of which seem to be trying to imitate this sandwich and fail. Great price for a premium product. The service was so quick my co worker thought I had walked out with out something! Really a gem this small hole in the wall
