This place was fantastic! We had brunch there last Saturday and we were not disappointed. My husband and daughter got the chicken biscuit. I had the Lady Bostick and the pumpkin king. And we all shared the beingets. Everything came out fresh and hot and was absolutely delicious. We were seated immediately, but it did take a while to get our orders taken and our food out. But we really weren’t in a hurry and the vibe was very cool.

Visited on a tiki theme night. I had the chicken, and it was good. The drinks were cute, but not strong. The atmosphere was the best. It reminded me of Cheers. It seemed like everyone knew each other, and the staff was really personable.

We absolutely love this place. My partner has food allergies, including gluten, but so much of the menu can be made gluten free. The staff knows the menu and bar offerings inside and out so they can always answer questions about preparations or ingredients.

One of the only places I’ll return to. I used to live across the street and try to hit up their brunch every time I’m in town, if only for a cup of coffee and a hick fil a sandwich.

After our first visit, we chalked up slow service to a bad day and decided to give it another shot. We arrived right at open and had our orders ready for the server when he came by. It took our food an hour to arrive, and we watched tables near us finish their food before we had anything on our table. Finally we said something, and asked to order something for the table to hold us over. They offered beignets, which we were pleased with. However those did not come for another 15 minutes, once we had already received our entrees. They took $3 off our tab and said “some items just take longer to cook.” Overall the food here was great, but to expect people to wait an hour for something on the menu with no warning and to act so casual about it was disappointing.

Ration & dram is a hidden gem! The food and staff are great. I would order the beignets and chicken biscuits again!

Inconspicuously located in front of the entrance to an apartment complex, Ration and Dram is a quaint and eclectic restaurant with a unique Halloween decor. There was a small parking lot in front of the restaurant that made it easy to access. The interior is small, but also has a lovely outdoor patio for outdoor seating. Had the fish and chips (not what you are thinking, it’s a trout dip with potato chips and it’s delicious!) as well as the chicken sandwich and burger which were all great. Our waitress, Lauren, was fast and super friendly.

Dead End Drinks (formerly Ration & Dram) is a gem of a neighborhood bar and restaurant. Excellent food, fantastic bar, great service. It’s a small space and people love it, so sometimes you have to wait for a table but that’s to be expected. Can’t recommend Dead End enough

Update: Tried the brunch and it is amazing!! We started with mimosas and beignets and the beignets are as good as you would get at cafe du monde in NOLA. I also had the eggs in purgatory and it was so good. Fresh basil and tomatoes with poached eggs. So good! Their coffee was also tasty! Service was great. Nice patio and indoor space with lots of room around each indoor table.

This place is delicious and fantastic. The service is friendly and the food & cocktails creative. They have the most well-stocked bar I’ve ever seen this side of Portland. The bartender will be happy to recommend cocktails and whip up things off-menu when it’s quiet. The restaurant has a neighborhood feel and is on a quiet street. Parking is free and mostly on the street. I recommend it as a good drinking/hanging out spot and for pre-show meals before going to the Pinch ‘n’ Ouch theater across the street.
