We went there for the first time today. We did have a reservation that requested a high chair and they definitely delivered. The food and service are amazing! Paige was very attentive and friendly. We went around 5pm just as they open and appetizer came really fast! The fish entrees we ordered were very fresh and delicious. We had chocolate flourless torte and that was yummy too! We will definitely be back!

We decided to hop off the bypass of Pittsboro and venture into town. The Postal Fish company didn’t disappoint. Ample parking and an early 5:15 reservation is how our experience started. Our waitress was wonderful and we started with one a bourbon and a punch that came with a great pour…… followed by the fish spread with deep fried saltines….. absolutely great.

Outstanding flavors, service and fantastic waitress who described the entrees perfectly. This restaurant is a diamond found in the rough. I will definitely be back. The whisky selection is very comprehensive.

The service was amazing, I wish I could remember his name, he deserves the props. My first time being there, I should have dressed warmer but also should have expected it to be on the chillier side since it’s a fish place. The corn bisque was fantastic! My friend got the fish fry and loved it all as well. Hush puppies weren’t my favourite, comparable to any others. I will be back again to try some more new things and enjoy the fantastic environment.

We’ve eaten here twice now. Food is fantastic. Service is great. They have raw oysters on the half shell listed on the menu, but when I asked if I could get them steamed, “No problem!” Spicy horseradish on the side. Topped the evening off with the “daily bread pudding”. Fig and Honey. Yum!

So, I really liked this place. They have great service and the bloody Mary’s are AMAZING! Brunch is cool because everyone orders their entree and then they bring out 4 sides family style. I thought that was really cool. I got the shrimp and grits, yumm! Only reason I’m going 4 stars, is the mac and cheese was super duper salty. Everyone at my table agreed. If the salt is cut down, I’d totally go 5 stars.

We noticed the restaurant during a festival a few months back and finally got around to trying it for lunch. We went with classic the Po Boy sandwiches (Shrimp and Catfish). I had the 1/2 size and it was plenty. Husband had the full and immediately said “I should’ve ordered the 1/2” but he ate it all. They were both delicious. We got the vinegar based coleslaw and it was tasty. I probably prefer a 1/2 mayo 1/2 vinegar version. I liked the look of the place and the staff was attentive. And since it’s not on the main road there was plenty of parking. Definitely will try to eat here again.

If you are anywhere near Pittsboro you MUST try Postal Fish Co. The restaurant itself is quaint and nicely appointed. Their food however… is absolutely FANTASTIC! This is truly a “diamond in the rough”. You would not expect this level of cuisine located here. We heard the menu changes daily so you’ll just have to come often to keep up with the number of amazing dishes this chef/owner puts out.
