The Leonardtown Grille is kind enough each year to allow the Academy of Finance students to learn etiquette in their private room in the morning. I always order the chicken fingers. Etiquette is still possible with chicken fingers! If you love chicken fingers, this place has an excellent recipe, and the chicken is always perfectly cooked.

Admittedly I didn’t like it when I first tried it some months ago. I gave them a second try and it was worth it! The food was good. Hush puppies weren’t burnt-tasting like the last time. The chicken sandwich I had was cooked perfectly and didn’t have any of that grissel you sometimes get. Maybe the first time I got them on a bad day which happens.

Family of 7 with 2 kids (one was 3 yo) came for dinner – took a half hour to take drink order and another half hour to receive drinks. NO bar service!! One guest went to bar to get drinks for group the entire visit – took 2.5 HoURS for food to be served!!!!! One child had a meltdown due to hunger and anxiety in restaurant – avoid this place at all costs!!!

We stop in here from time to time and haven’t been disappointed yet. Service is friendly and balanced between not enough and to many table visits. The menu is good, the food is very good. We’ve always sat in the booth / table area, I haven’t sat in the bar area as of yet. Always available seating, quiet. clean, and the restrooms are kept clean. Moderately busy – there are a number of unique eateries in this small town.
