Pulled up, ready to pay American money, via Visa, for some tasty burgers, fries and shakes. We were told they could not accept credit cards on this Saturday afternoon. Determined to give “The Point” a fair shot at our feeble fast food annual budget, we drove to the nearest ATM for some cold hard cash. We returned.

I normally love this Penguin Point and would normally give 5 stars, but for some reason on this day my son and I stopped to get lunch and we were both very disappointed. The sandwiches were barely warm, the fries were cold and could tell it was an old batch. I hope it was just the person(s) working that day, so I will try again another time, so I hope I can change the 2 stars back to a 5 …….will update you when possible.

I realize that it was the weekend of the 4th but no actual chicken? They forgot the sides to wifes strip basket good thing we dined in. The Big Wally had a dash of sauce on where the cheeseburger was a much better choice.

Went here for lunch. Door was locked, which I understand if there’s short staffing. So we decided to go through drive and go to the boat docking area and eat at a picnic table. The hubby and I both got a tenderloin meal, mine with only ketchup and the hubby’s with only ketchup and pickle. The person taking our order kept interrupting us while we were ordering. I figured we were in trouble when I looked at the receipt and it said 2 sandwich was regular and 1 was only ketchup. Got to the park only to find out neither sandwich was right. Disappointed in today’s visit. Hopefully it gets better.

Have long loved this chain of restaurants, the burgers are good, as well as the sides. I always watch closely for the breaded cheeseburger specials. Their turnovers are the bomb as well.

One of the best restaurants in the chain hands down. My order is screaming hot, fresh, and right! Kudos Syracuse! Update Feb 2022- the tenderloin has been changed! Ive ate p point since 1980 and that has been one constant-new one is not as good! Thats like going to a restaurant that doesnt have wally sauce- what the heck is going on, have you lost it? Review WAS a 5 stars but now its a 3.
