Bodega SF is a great place to bring friends, family or that special someone to dine with. The atmosphere of the restaurant was truly amazing. It had a warm and inviting ambiance that made me feel instantly comfortable. The decor was tastefully done, adding to the overall charm of the place.

Probably one of the best restaurants in San Francisco. We visited the place twice. During lunch it was very quiet and the food portions were just right.

The food was well executed and the flavors were on point as expected. The quality of the meal is one step above typical Vietnamese restaurants and it’s definitely a nice change of pace. However the prices are high, so we we ended our meal not feeling entirely full or satisfied.

Ok. The food was really quite good. Wine too! However they used far too many types of lighting fixtures and wood textures in the restaurant design. Octopus tomato salad was fantastic. Pay attention to how many different lighting fixtures and wood types used in the establishment.

Hands down my favourite Vietnamese place in San Francisco! Very innovative (for me) and flavourful dishes. Every dish was delicious but I highly recommend the garlic noodles and pho with Chinese donut. The iced coffee was also perfection. Lemongrass pork was good and the hoi an chicken rice was good (similar to hainese chicken). My only regret is not having a bigger stomache to eat more! Service was great and decor was beautiful.

Really enjoyed the food at Bodega SF and our waiter was really great with helping us select a great combination of dishes. From the items we had, we could tell that we probably couldn’t have gone wrong with anything we ordered but based on some of the initial dishes we were interested in, he suggested some pretty nice pairings. The bussers who helped to bring out our dishes were also very friendly and agreed with our dish choices which included the vegetarian pho and bo tai chanh. Everything was really delicious and I’d absolutely come again!

Bodega SF is a treat to the senses! Besides the elegant upscale and modern interior the umami, sweet, charred, and spicy flavors emanate from the food in ways that will truely make your mouth water. The Bun Cha is a standout dish that I’d highly recommend. The first bites give you the savory and familiar flavors of pork belly but with a grilled twist. The meatballs are very tender and easy to chew despite their large size and generous portion. Additionally, for a restaurant this good to offer takeout is simply a charitable act to the residents of San Francisco.

Great Vietnamese restaurant in downtown San Francisco, 3 minute walk from the Hilton. Had the Oysters w/Yuzu Coconut Foam, really small oysters and you only get 3,but really good. Also had the Beef Pho which was also really good, portion size was small but the broth was great as well as the Brisket and Meatballs. Finished up with the Lemon Grass Clams which were also good. Person next to me got the whole Branzino and it looked and smelled incredible. Definitely recommend.

I was excited to try this place though the location worried me a bit. It’s not too far from the hotels and is kinda safe but be alert. They serve food family style. We ordered the papaya salad with spiced beef jerky. I would have ordered extra jerky. It was sweet and not spicy. The bahn cuon was a roll that we wrapped in lettuce and dipped in a sauce. It was ok but it’s not as tasty as lumpia. The soft shell crab on kale was our favorite. The dressing was amazing! Finally, we ordered individual pho which we thought would be tiny bit more like a mid size bowl. They were helpful on accommodating our friend who was a pescatarian by offering to substitute tofu if we wanted.
