To put it mildly the halibut steak I had was the driest piece of fish I have ever had. It was more like a piece of shoe leather than fish. The only reason I didn’t send it back was that I was starving…being from So Calif and fishing the waters of Calif most of my younger days I know what “cut” of fish is. It was over cooked…lacked any butter or seasoning that I could taste. This will have been my second time eating here..the first time was about 12 years ago when we first moved to the area and was told how good the seafood was here. I won’t be going back again…oh the reason we never came back after the first time is be both became very sick the first time we ate here…ps, the only real positive was the wait staff and salad bar which was also kind of bare..

Great place to visit for a wonderful meal. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is exceptional and the food, OMG!!! Delicious!!! They have a REAL SALAD BAR, stocked with a great variety of options for every appetite. This was my first time here and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you for the wonderful evening!!! This is the second time I have been there. I really like the place. It’s very nice, very clean, and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I had fried chicken this time. It was the best fried chicken I have ever had. You should try it. I’ll be going back.

Visited this place about 7 years ago with a number of couples. Food was good. Service was very poor. However, when in local area thought we would try it again. Group of 5 of us were present. Reservation was for 6:30 yesterday, July 1st. We were seated on time. Our server was Monica. Two of us ordered Prime Rib. The food was not good. One came out barely warm. One had more “fat” on it then meat. We both left more than half of it on the plate. The server didn’t ask us once how the food was or if there was anything wrong with our prime rib since so much of it was left on the plate. Server never once asked us if we wanted another drink. We were never offered additional water. She barely checked on us. In fact, she brought us the check when two people were still eating. She never asked us if we wanted desert either. We had to ask for it. Not sure we will ever return.

We arrived a ½ hour after they opened on a Saturday night and the parking lot was pretty full. The restaurant is handicap accessible once you get in the front door, but you have to be able to open the door without help. When we went in we told them there were 3 of us and we had a reservation and we still had to wait to be seated. The lady at the register was not friendly and definitely not welcoming especially if you didn’t have a reservation so I would recommend calling ahead for a reservation.

Went out for Valentine dinner with my wife and friends. It was a first for our friends and my wife and my 3rd time here. Love the salad bar and the steaks while slightly pricey ( Economy and ignorance being what it is) were cooked to perfection. Our waitress did an incredible job considering that she was rather busy. Overall we’ll be returning in the near future and looking forward to another great experience.

My son took me there for a late Mother’s Day dinner. It was incredible. The Mahogany wood throughout the restaurant makes for a rich, warm feeling. The owners of the establishment take you to your table. He shakes every man’s hand; and gives every women just a little kiss on the side of your face; which is traditional in many Countries around the world.

My family had about 20-30 people out for dinner the other night to celebrate my dad’s retirement. The restaurant was well prepared, service was outstanding, and the food was delicious (as always)! The meals are well priced considering you rolls and corn bread are included as well as a salad bar. Whether having a celebration with a group or going for dinner with 2, the Forest Inn is a must!
