Granted we went with a large group, but they forgot both me and my wife’s order. The manager did apologize, but in a very insincere way and just tried to be funny. He offered us chocolate cake to make it up. Just before they were going to give us the bill we had to remind them of the cake. Amateur hour in what should be a very nice place.

The food is what saves the restaurant from a less than stellar review. Waitstaff were dismissive and unattentive. My salad arrived after the main course. The one time staff showed up frequently was to ask us if we were done, drop the bill and grab the dessert tray before we had finished. (We had said we were still eating it). The restaurant wasn’t even particularly busy. The decor was open and clean. Food was delicious and we could eat gluten free at an Italian place, which was a treat. We had (part of) an amazing flourless chocolate cake for dessert.

My friend and I decided to take her daughter and my niece for a late lunch and OH MY! the food was great, customer service was excellent! We had the BRIO’s Bruschetta Quattro and the Calamari Fritto both dishes were beautiful arranged and full in flavor. I strongly recommend the Bruschetta. Our Kids enjoyed the food very much. For the main courses my friend and I had Pasta Alla Vodka which was also wonderfully arranged and the spices in it are amazing! My niece had Pepperoni Pizza (duh!) and my friend’s daughter had ravioli, she ate all of it!! For my first visit this place is a total 5 stars restaurant!

My Open Table confirmed reservations were not honored last night. Since I have used Open table many times at various restaurants with no problem, I assume that Brio Tuscan Grille in North Bethesda screwed up. When we arrived we were told that they had just received our reservation and there were no tables available. I was, of course, shocked. They felt no empathy for our situation and expressed] no remorse or apology. They finally told me there might be some bar seating available. What a disappointing experience this was. Shame on Brio!
