Aside from soul food fantasy this is the next best soul food you can indulge in in the city. Only reason I couldn’t give 5 stars is because the menu is very much limited, this is not a eat in restaurant and the lines are quite long so be prepared to wait. But the food hits home when you’re looking authentic soul food you can’t get no closer to this.

Where do I start? The customer service was awesome. It was like walking into my aunties house. Kim is the family member I never knew I had and I am so excited to visit. We drove 242 miles and we were not disappointed. The food was seasoned so well I swear I saw black Jesus in the back making cornbread. The portion sizes are wonderful and the taste was immaculate. This was my 1st time but it will not be my last. I will be telling everyone I know to visit. Don’t take my word come see for yourself. Parking is limited but most people grab to-go orders so they are in and out. Don’t let the long lines deter you it moves fast and it is worth every minute when you bite in to the best soul food known to man.

This is all I can say. We ate with our eyes closed. We had to wipe tears off our faces because every. single. bite. was absolutely spectacular. RIB dinner with MAC & CHEESE and COLLARD GREENS & PEPPER SAUCE; FRIED CHICKEN dinner with CABBAGE and POTATO SALAD, BANANA PUDDING and the surprise CORNBREAD. We don’t even like cornbread and we couldn’t get enough of it. I hate it when people say “oh, it was so much food I couldn’t eat it all,” meanwhile my plate is empty. That being said, it was enough food for 4 – 6 plates. We have leftovers for a couple more meals, and we are big eaters who love to eat. The picture is what we saw when we opened our eyes. omgaaa

First time going to this place my husband told me about this place cause of his work friends in the hospital and let me tell you their mac and cheese meatloaf and yellow rice was the best food I’ve ever tried in my life and their banana bread I believe is out of this world we’re definitely gonna get their food again 100/10

This place is small but comes with a big punch! Ms. Kim hospitality was great! She reminded me of my grandma and aunties! The food was Great, huge portions and the owner is actually there serving and greeting her customers. You can tell she loves cooking and does it with pride! The locals visiting during our time there were very friendly as well. We come to the area several times a year but this was our first time eating here but it won’t be our last.

This was my 2nd time eating here. I came in from Virginia I had to eat here before I left. Again, I was not disappointed! The customer service was on point. The food looked and smelled delicious!!! Not only that, they give you big portions. Well worth the price. I got the smothered pork chops , greens and Mac & cheese. Everything was well seasoned. I will be definitely coming back.
