Our first time eating at Bamboo Garden and we were pleasantly surprised. When we arrived at 6:45 on Wednesday evening, we were the only diners in the restaurant. That concerned me a bit but a couple of others came in shortly after we arrived. We ordered Sesame Chicken and Sezchuan Chicken with fried rice. Both were very good and were served quickly. Food quality and quantity were excellent. We would definitely return. However, since we live in Pelham, we’ll probably stick with our favorite Asian restaurant – Golden City. Bamboo Garden is a good choice if you live or work in the Alabaster area.

The Singapore Mei Fun is delicious. Spicy rice noodles with shrimp, chicken, and beef. Also the Beef and Broccoli in Garlic Sauce is great. The sauce is nuanced and spicy. Human Chicken is also delicious, it is a bit different, kind of a spicy fermented bean flavor.

I had not been to this restaurant for a couple years and after coming back the portion sizes are much smaller. The lunch special used to give you both egg roll and soup and now you have to choose. The hot and sour soup is not as good as it was the last time I was there. Last time I was there was before COVID so I’m sure many changes have happened because of COVID. I am glad to see that they are open for sit down meals.

They have the best fried rice in the whole world I love it and it’s addicting I never have had any problems with this place I’ve been coming here since 2008. Even when they switched owners food is still amazing maybe even better. I’ve had other fried rice from different places but this one by far is the best I refuse to go anywhere else.

I’ve eatin at plenty of GREAT Chinese restaurants (I’m from Chicago) just moved here to Alabama Montevallo and nope I’m sorry but this place really was nasty. The orange chicken especially didn’t taste fresh it had a freezer burn taste. Ordered Mongolian beef and didnt ave no spice at all I guess people can say it’s a good thing but no flavor just beef onion they should call it. No soy sause. Nope I will not order from here again.

Very consistent quality here. We tend to get the same dishes and they’re always the same great food. I tried the orange chicken for the first time last night. It was not spicy, which was fine, since I really just like the flavor and not the heat. To me, this is the best Chinese restaurant in Alabaster.

We ate lunch there today and it was very good. I ordered General Tso’s chicken with rice and my husband had shrimp fried rice. Both were very tasty and a lot of food. I will definitely go back again.

New ownership; recipes are different from previous ownership, but restaurant is still good. Sesame chicken is unique, but I like it. Mongolian dishes are always good. Hot and sour soup was better with the previous ownership, but I am enough of a fan to eat here at least once a month. I have eaten here more than 100 times over the course of the last few years, so my critique isn’t isolated to a single experience.

Ordered delivery from here and it was the nastiest food I’ve ever tasted in my life. I tried feeding it to my dog and even he wouldn’t eat it, so it went in the trash.
