Ravello, inspired and named for a small town off the Amalfi Coast, is a modern Italian restaurant housed in the restored City Federal Savings & Loan Bank in downtown Montgomery. Led by Executive Chef Eric Rivera, the menu is focused in ingredient driven, coastal cuisine, and features a variety of hand made pastas, a prosciutto tasting, Alabama produce, wood roasted gulf seafood, and a rotating selection of crudo.
The wine program features over 200 selections and is focused in wines made in an Old World style from family owned wineries, highlighting Mediterranean and coastal viticultural areas.

We were informed upon arrival that our reservation has been cancelled. It was my fault, as I chose the wrong option via text message on accident. The hostess was very nice and was able to work us in within about 20 minutes, even with a mostly full restaurant. The view from our seating was spectacular, we loved the table that we were seated at. The food was very good and flavorful. Our server forgot to bring drinks initially after we ordered, but quickly picked up pace and was very sweet. Very romantic atmosphere with lots of interesting people to watch.

I have waited for several months for an opportunity to have a meal here and it was fabulous. I have heard all the great things, but I enjoyed experiencing it first hand. The staff were all professional and knew the menu very well. I went with the special and the mahi-mahi was cooked to perfection. I look forward to going back so that I can try out the rooftop bar that I didn’t get a chance to tonight because I had tickets to Shakespeare.

Great atmosphere & aesthetics. Food was okay…the artichokes (not pictured) were good but a little over seasoned (salty), the brussels were undercooked & my chicken was a little dry. Lakeisha our server, gave me the wrong drink but eventually resolved the issue. It took over an hour to get our food & drinks & I never received my risotto so I wasnt pleased with any of that. I’d try them again but at a different time & with a different server to see if its a better quality of service & food. Maybe they had a not so good night.

Best place to eat in Montgomery!!! There is no place like it. The buratta and the gnocchi were perfect. When I travel again to this place, I will definitely go back.

Italy came 3 months early tonight! So many forks to the Chef @chef_ericrivera and his dynamic duo counterpart @arrivera44 ! Wow! The Bolognese was the 10 fork winner in a night of high forks! Who knew the Amalfi Coast ran thru Montgomery? I would reco anyone within 2 hours of going to @ravellomgm ASAP. Simply superb James Beard foods for Jimmy and Joe prices. Loved the Focaccia bread, Burrata, Lightest Meatball I’ve ever had, and the Lemon Vanilla Bean Gelato is the high 9 forks finisher! Yum and Yummier! What a way to see old friends, get the best meal in Montgomery, and celebrate with friends and family. Go, Go, Go and enjoy. #foodchubbie
