I bought some General TSO chicken and received big clumps of flour barley any chicken inside. I tried my best to make it through the plate but couldn’t. It did seem freshly cooked because it was chewy and dry. I don’t like wasting food but man I can’t eat anymore. I was so hungry and felt so good when I saw a Chinese restaurant near to the truck stop. This was a huge disappointment.

Li Chin waited on us. Our dinner was cooked within around 5 to 10 minutes. Very good food.

Instant regret! Beware unless you want to clear your colon out! Worst Chinese food I have ever had. Anyone that says this is a good place to eat has obviously never left the town or neighborhood. The potstickers tasted like they were made from breakfast sausages the egg rolls or mediocre at best and the portion is below average for Chinese food. I honestly had to stop and check that my food was even in the bag because how late my to go bag wise. Not to mention when I ask for hot sauce for my food they want to charge me extra for hot sauce. Greasy slop. I don’t normally review places but when I do it’s deserved. I have honestly cooked a better stir fry in my truck.

I’ve eaten here about 10 times. Every meal has been excellent! I wanted my kung pao chicken more spicy and it was perfect. Just as I like it. One would expect a mediocre eatery in a small town, and that’s what I usually find, but Chin’s is definitely on a much higher level. Thanks for the great dinner and I’ll be back.

Nice lady but my friend and my dishes looked almost identical. We ordered two totally different items, she basically made them together and then threw them on a plate. Mine she added snow peas, his was not close to Schezwan style. The miners keep her around since it is Carlin a little town with nothing going on.

Maybe we just came on a bad day. My aunt recommended we stop from our trip to Elko. The minute we walked in the place stunk so bad. Smelled like raw sewage. I thought the brócoli beef was ok. My mom was very disappointed. We’ve heard such great things about them from my aunt who lives in Battle Mountain. Like I said. Maybe it was just a bad day we went.

This is some of the best Asian food I’ve ever had. A welcome relief from the truck stop food I’m used to. Egg rolls made fresh, everything looks made from scratch. One of the best meals I’ve had on the road in a long time. A true hidden gem.

While I was on a week and a half long road trip I stayed in Carlin and found this fabulous restaurant. Such a lovely surprise to have amazing homemade food at this place. The shrimp/vegetable and the hot and sour soup were so yummy! If you get a chance-check it out!!
