prices were a little high but thats inflation i guess. this cute chinese and thai spot was tucked right next to our go-to smoke shop, so we decided to try it. the food was great, and the proportions were decent. the scallion pancakes were meh but everything else was great! we will be returning!

I and my family have loved Golden Empire for many years. Usually we ordered our favorites from the traditional Chinese Restaurant fare. Always excellent. This time we went for Thai menu items and it was really REALLY good. Thai Basil is now a top of the list favorite and Thai Fried Rice right there with it. Mr. Lee and family is just getting better and better.

A couple of months ago I ordered the general zaos chicken. It was the best menu item for that dish I’ve ever experienced. Now things are totally different for that dish. I just recently picked up that dish and was totally disappointed. It was full of broccoli and less chicken as normally before. The restaurant is minimizing the amount of portions and the quality has been compromised. That will be my last time supporting this establishment .Also I will be requesting a refund by my credit card provider.

Fries were soggy , I asked for homemade tea which was watery only tasted the lemon . I asked for fired chicken wings only with pork fried rice it was only a little bit of rice . the chicken was baked chicken only 3 had no flavor , the fired rice was decent though . And now my stomach is hot and feels weird . I won’t order from here again. First time eating here . I like the Chinese food on South Broad street mr wok and I forgot the other one. Your welcome

The best Chinese and Thai food in the area! Great service, and the food is amazing. Authentic, fresh, and delicious-I have never had a bad meal here. The Thai basil Shrimp , chicken with vegetable and the boneless ribs are standouts-but seriously-anything you order will be fantastic!
