The perfect place to stop for lunch! My husband and I were passing through on our vacation and found this little gem! Roy had a Reuben and I had a deconstructed mushroom Swiss burger with a small salad. George cooked everything to perfection. The only down side is we live to far away to make this our regular place to go.

Food was great. But talk about those horrible customer service scenes from a movie. We walk in and it no one acknowledged us. Gave us the grunt to sit wherever. Okayyyy. So took a while for the drinks to come out. Asked for chocolate milk for the kids and got hot chocolate. We at least got a refill for coffee. When paying for the bill felt like I was bothering to pay for my stuff. So at least we know the food is good. Hope they offer pick up from grub hub or Uber

Penny’s Diners in Santa Teresa needs to fix the price on their menus. I don’t think it fair to the customers to be given menus on arrival, make choice and when you get to the counter to pay, you’re told, and I quote “JUST SO YOU KNOW THE PRICE IS NOT WHAT IS ON THE MENU” This has happened to us three times now – First time we though ahh!! Okay maybe they are still printing new menus. The second time we still gave them the benefit of the doubt. The third time, which was last Sunday the July 9th 2023 the lady told us the same thing and we also experience three people being turned away because they were short stuffed.

I’ve passed by this little gem many times, in making deliveries in the area. However, this was the first time I was able to actually stop in and eat. The waitress/cook was very friendly and conversational, while making my food. The diner was clean… Like cleaner than most places. The food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. And the price, even though I was cautioned that the menu pricing had changed, was a great value. Comparably, my freshly cooked meal at this diner, is what I would have paid at a chain fast food place.
