For over 17 years Mtn Rest Cafe has been serving family dining to locals and travelers alike. We are located near many waterfalls and hiking trails and make a great stop over for lunch, dinner, or just ice cream at our ice cream shop. The staff was super friendly and fun. Had a lovely time! The food was delicious with a big variety on the menu. Definitely try the hand-battered onion rings, chicken tenders and mountain burgers. The tenders were large with a crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Really hit the spot after a long day of hiking to nearby waterfalls!

Website said they closed at 8:30pm on Thursday, but they close at 8. We got there at 7:55 and owner told us to come on in and eat. Really good food and friendly service. Would recommend this place.

Mountain Rest Cafe is a friendly spot with a family type atmosphere. They have great burgers for a quick lunch and tasty combos for a “supper” that’s just a little bit more. Try the clam strips. They have just the right crunch but not over done. There’s also some hand dip ice cream for the kiddos!

Coming from the Seneca area, the drive up to this cafe is a nice change from the traffic in town. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is relaxed and extremely casual, we felt right at home.
