Very casual and pretty clean. Not fancy, but food is excellent. Service was friendly. Waited about 20 minutes for food. Tried Kamehameha Cuban with pineapple slaw, Teriyaki Bacon Cheeseburger with seasoned steak fries, Kalbi Ribs with rice and pineapple slaw, Chicken Katsu with rice and stir fried veggies. Portions were generous, and all of it was thoroughly enjoyed. Only wished the ribs were thicker cut.

Big fan of Aloha to Go, always a go-to for take out. Even if you don’t think you’d like “Hawaiian Barbecue,” there’s a wide range of options: from their “Big Kahuna” which includes all their signature styles to the “California Burrito” which is an everyday wrap. There’s something for everyone and we go for both!

I’ve usually been to the beach location a lot but this one was a first! I got a poke and salmon dish, both delicious. We also got a loco moco and big kahuna combo, which were also incredible (always!!) The employees put so much love into this place. Such a hidden gem, and I’d personally recommend the Loco Moco and Khalua Pork. (I forgot to take a photo of that but trust me XD)

It’s hard to get Hawaiian “comfort” food in West Florida. I live in Venice, so had been hopeful when a franchise of a national Hawaii barbecue chain opened in Sarasota in 2021, but alas, it has already closed. So I was happy to be able to try Aloha To Go Hale today, and was glad I did. Maybe not the best Hawaiian I’ve ever had, but I enjoyed quite a good Kalbi-short-rib plate lunch. And both the lady at the counter, and the cook who brought my food out very friendly and pleasant to work with. Because of the distance from my home, I doubt I will be a regular customer, but I certainly enjoyed the visit today.

I’ve been there a few times for lunch… I’m trying to get through the menu. Today was the steak sandwich with the homemade beer cheese. Really good flavor, large portion, the cheese came on the side so good for Sammy and fries :). The short ribs are nothing short of amazing. It’s tough to try new things when those ribs hit the spot!! Ribs by far are my fave so far. The chicken was also really good, not dry, flavorful throughout. I think the flavor profile of these set the stage. I would recommend you try it all, you’re bound to find a favorite.
