My experience here was from a few years ago, an east coast client, Reinhard, was in town and suggested we meet here. It was my first time here. There was a huge crowd outside waiting to be seated, and I was initially worried because we did not sign in anywhere, how do they keep track of guests? Very shortly someone handed me a wonderful glass of red wine, and everything after that was great (though slightly blurry)! I am vegetarian and did well, it might be hard to eat here if vegan though.

Call them 25 minutes before closing to see if we could get a seating in 10 minutes. They squeeze us in. Dinner was fantastic and, service was very good. My partner had the veal salt and Boca, I had the ribeye steak, we split a romaine salad, and we had a couple of desserts and everything was very very good. Very good. Even their straight espresso was done excellently, too often espressos are thin and bitter, and this was thick and rich

We went here for the first time on my birthday! And I’m impressed I love their food from the appetizers the wine and dinner, desserts, staffed are wonderful. Will definitely come back again. I had the best linguine carbonara with prosciutto, my husband had the Gnocchi with gorgonzola cheese they’re both to die for. Bread pudding and mango panacotta are so heavenly delicious. I found my Italian restaurant close to home ❤

Wow, we have been here once before, but this time? The service was truly poor, and we were seated at the tiniest possible squeezed in spot for two I have ever seen in any restaurant. Measly portions, inflated pricing. Waiter took a ridiculous amount of time to even acknowledge our presence in his area, and he was in and out of the area several times. We almost left (and we are not difficult to please), but bit our tongues and stayed. We never were informed the specials, and we ordered from the menu — eventually. Waiter must have known he did wrong, brought a gratis post dinner drink, but the damage was done. I believe in a very good tip even when the service is po4or. I’m certain our server was aware, but they lost two neighborhood patrons, that’s for sure.

Cafe Giostra is not to be missed! Fabulous, delicious Italian cuisine served by a delightful, courteous staff. The entrees were spectacular, and the Teramisu we shared for dessert was second-to-none. The owner treated us a complimentary glass of Port at the completion of the meal. Bravo Caffe Giostra! We will definitely be back…
