Matanuska Brewing Eagle River is a brew pub that features a variety of Matanuska craft beers, liquor, Wild North hard setlzers, spiked ciders, & hard lemonades. We serve great food including burgers, pizza, tacos, & seafood. We are family-friendly, but also have a full-service bar. We have several TV’s in the restaurant with sports channels on.
About Our Brews
Master Brewer Kevin Burton leads our brew team at our brewing facility in Palmer, Alaska. We have three brewpubs: Mid-Town Anchorage, Down-Town Anchorage and Eagle River.
Our hand crafted beer is available in stores all over Alaska. We are distributed by KNL Distributors on a state wide level. On this site you can find our food and beer menus for our different locations.

Check out the pic of a fried piece of fish. This is known as calamari at Matanuska Brewing. It looked like halibut to me. It was definitely halibut. Good atmosphere and good drinks. Service is nothing special. Our waitress didn’t know the menu, or what calamari is.

I had lunch at this restaurant because my son invited me. The place was clean and pleasant, and I didn’t have to wait long to be seated. The food was tasty, made fresh, and served promptly. However, I found the menu to be expensive. Due to this, I don’t plan to visit again or recommend the restaurant.

Went to a concert here. Beer was great, lots of food choices. Music sound and venue were superb. It did smell like weed real bad over by the dumpster, nothing they could do about that though, I am far too sneaky.

Absolutely horrible experience, took over an hour to receive our food. When I questioned the manager why it was taking so long he blamed it on a small fryer. We ordered no food with fried fish. I understand being short staffed but to not know that food ticket times are taking and hour and as a manager you don’t even come by our table? That is just bad management. Our server was nice and not her fault. Food was mediocre, beer was good. The only good part of the evening.

The place was great and busy….. therefore the kitchen was rushed….. my burger was a little well done and on the dry side and fries were way over-cooked and rock hard. I asked for new fries and they were perfect. My wife loved her prime rib tacos. We will go back again.

Stopped in for a quick snack and a cold beer. Decided on the Kicking Chicken Nachos. After a overly long wait for nachos the food runner brought it to the table and we noticed that there wasn’t ANY chicken on it. Waited another 15min for them to fix our order. Canceled our order, paid for the beers and left. Great beer, wait staff and kitchen needs some help.

Stopped in 2 separate times during our stay in Eagle River. Staff treated us as if they appreciated our visit. Food was good, Beverages were great. Not a single negative comment to make. For the negative people…maybe you’re the reason.
