I had to stop in here since I am a graduate of Heidelberg University in Tiffin Ohio. We had a drink. The decor is so cool. They have three levels. The upstairs is available for private parties, the main floor is the restaurant, and the lower level is a cool bar vibe. There’s a bar in the main restaurant as well. I’ll being back to eat soon. The menu looked great.

Great place for drinks. And ONLY drinks!! Roy, our waiter did the best he could. We arrived at 7:30pm. It wasn’t busy. Our food came out at 9:15pm. 1hr & 45min…. And it was Cold-lukewarm. I ordered the pot roast because that would be already cooked. So how on earth were there ice cold spots in it. German Red Cabbage, cold. Potato Pancakes, lukewarm. We should have eaten at the Mexican place next door. Though the live musician was good & the decor is nice. Overall it was very disappointing experience

Having lived in Germany (many moons ago) I was nostalgic for a proper schnitzel . Nope; not here but what they did have was good service and a really great bar in the basement that played heavy metal. We would definitely go back for that.

There is no other way to report that the kitchen DOES NOT CLOSE AT 11:30pm on weekdays. It closes at 10pm. The place is still open. But there will be no food.

I wish I could give negative stars. The menu was out of everything. It took well over an hour to get a few simple items of food. We asked to cancel our pretzel and they have it to us anyway. It was repulsive and they still charged us. We were charged for items we never even received. So overpriced.

Pretty disappointing experience. I don’t go out much these days, but after that experience, I won’t be going back and won’t be recommending the Heidelberg. The food was okay, for the price it was nothing special. When I finally got my food (took almost an hour), it was all made wrong. Wrong meat, spätzle was drenched so bad in some kind of brown liquid that it was pasty and unable to be eaten. The beer was warm. The water tasted like soap. They have gone downhill so bad over the years…. Maybe they should think about shutting down since they cant seem to get a simple drink or brat right.
