Ate in at the Lakewood location today at 11:45. This was my first time trying Rise & Shine – a friend has been recommending it for awhile! I had the Charlotte and my husband had the Raleigh – they were both really good. The biscuits are SO YUMMY. In my opinion, 1000-times better than Denver Biscuit Co. biscuits. We also got a biscuit of the day to try – it was basil pesto. They have biscuits and gravy on the menu but they don’t have plates there so gravy comes on the side. That’s too bad. There’s only seating around the perimeter of the space so it feels a little cavernous – not really a great “sit and have a gab” spot even though they have a full espresso menu but maybe that’s because it just opened? It’s a small food menu but I think this will be a great spot to come for biscuit sandwiches with the family, etc. Really great biscuits.

This place is Amazing. I follow the calendar and have a hard time choose what biscuits I don’t want. I usually buy a few extra and make sandwiches through the next few days with them. Love the Chicken, love the jams, this place is 6 stars!!!

Get a taste of the Carolinas. The cheer wine is a special treat you can’t easily find in this part of the country. I love trying the biscuit of the day and unique jam flavor but my go to is the country ham with egg and cheese. They also have great coffee and espresso options.

A new place in Lakewood is always exciting- Southern style Biscuits are something different ( and tasty). I had the Goldsboro with an egg over easy. Yum- Lots of choices on the menu. I will be back- the coffee sufficed too. A new Breakfast spot – quick and different, most importantly, affordable and good.

Biscuits are delicious! A rotating biscuit of the day is fun. I’ve had everything style as well as blueberry ginger. Both tasty. The sausage gravy is on point. Exactly the way it should be for a country white gravy, so the biscuits and gravy is recommended. Prices are more than fair and customer service is top notch.

So glad they opened this location as its much closer to my house! I used to drive 20 minutes out of my way for those biscuits! These guys are doing it right and they make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. The food is great, the staff is friendly, the service is impeccable and I highly recommend them! Love the artists they feature and the parking at this location! Put Rise and Shine on your list of places to try for sure!

Growing up in Charlotte and now living in Denver, a good biscuit place is something I’m always searching for. Had the bec and the chapel hill. Biscuits here are too dry and flaky for my liking. I’d rather have a moist, thick buttermilk biscuit that crumbles while I’m eating it. No pimento cheese is a miss. Not bad enough that I won’t give it another shot though. Prices are extremely reasonable.

The biscuit I had at 7:30 seemed a day old (slightly stale), but still good flavor and beautiful layers of butter on the tongue. Service amazing and I like the atmosphere! They’re very brave for having carpet on parts of the floor of the coffee shop.

Every time I have been there, whether it be take out or dine in the food is on point. The people who work there are awesome, and the atmosphere is adorable. Small tables, leather seating areas , or tables that look out to the street are all just comfortable. Love it and will keep coming back to explore the menu.
