While visiting family, we went to El Mazatlan in Mt Olive North Carolina. The decor is inviting. Very good selection of food on the menu. Good service. It wasn’t too busy when we stopped in on a Friday evening around 5:30. Once we ordered, our food arrived after a short wait. While waiting, we enjoyed chips and salsa. My food arrived, two ground beef tacos with rice and beans. It was plated well and of good portion size. The flavoring was good too. One of the other dishes we had was the chili rellano with rice and beans. There were 6 in our group and the ending bill was reasonable, with food and a few bar drinks. Being from California, this is comparable to many restaurants I’ve visited in California.

Went here after the over crowded pickle festival. I was pleasantly surprised. The place was well run and our food came out quickly. My daughter’s friend Amy took the picture of the burrito that was served with the knife inserted.

Standard Mexican food with a very mild spice profile. Salsa had zero heat but is fresh. We ordered off the vegetarian menu removing the dairy to make it vegan. This is one of the only restaurants around Goldsboro that did not mess it up. Even Torreros in Goldsboro can’t give you beans without adding cheese. Over all if you are looking for a mild plate with good atmosphere this is a great choice.

Ordered a drink before ordering my food got my food and was about done with it when I asked the waitress if I could get my drink she apologized and told the bartender again for the 3rd time for my drink other than that food was great and the drink was also good had the Mazatlan special and a strawberry margarita
