This was the third time I’ve visited this business. The first time the chicken was bland, so I thought the cook was having a off day and I’d give them another chance on another day. But on that day I waited 15 at the drive through window then left. The third time I went in ,ordered a 10 piece. Got home opened the box and put 3 pieces on my plate, sat down to eat. The chicken was truly nasty. Tasted like it was cooked in burned oil. I just lost 12 dollars. And never go back to that Hartz Chicken Buffet again in life.

This place has been around for ages & has changed management many times. The buffet has recently reopened after being shut down after co-vid. The place seemed clean but the buffet was lacking fresh food. I paid $15 for the buffet which was reasonable. The mashed potatoes were dried out & not many other options. The salad bar was very sparse & no salad dressing. They did offer me fresh chicken & fish from behind the counter & it was very tasty. When I sat down to eat there was a roach under the table near my foot. It is sad to say but I squashed it and kept eating. I was so hungry & didn’t let it bother me that much.after all this is Texas. Sorry to say I won’t be back to this location. Hartz is opening a new location on Hwy 6 near the Fortbend tollway. I’ll definitely checkout the new location.

I’ve been going to this Hartz Chicken for at least 23 years. I tried other locations and the food was not as good as the Hartz on Cartwright/2234. Their fish is phenomenal! I call my order of fish in about 15 minutes before I pick it up. Besides the fish, their okra is the best, it’s real crunchy, perfect! Their rolls just melt in your mouth. The chicken and chicken tenders are the best I’ve had, crunchy. It’s not greasy and has a great flavor. The buffet has everything, at least go try the buffet so you can get some fish, chicken, and a large selection of their food. You won’t be disappointed! Please be patient, one lady works the drive thru and restaurant by herself.

I stood in line for 5 minutes before I was even acknowledged. People on the phone they’re talking to each other in Spanish completely ignoring me. Hire a new staff please. This is in our community and we don’t appreciate this. If the buffet starts at 11:30 why do have to wait until 11:50 to enjoy my food. Maybe if they would communicate it wouldn’t be so bad. I’m upset I’m not returning they ruined my lunch break.

Waited in drive thru line for about 30 mins. Was told they had no chicken livers today. Ordered the fish which was food, but the hit sauce they had was some off brand in packets. Hatz usually has the red house which is delicious. Ordered a bread pudding and was not sweet. This is the worst Hartz Chicken location I have tried in Houston.

The service here is horrible. You just sit at the mic…no one says anything forever, even when say hello. There’s never any Chicken ready. Drive thru had 2 cars in front of me and I waited at least 32mins…. and I’m in line writing this review. Ridiculous
