This spot has charm. It was very warm inside of the establishment, almost uncomfortably so, but the hardworking wait staff (I believe it was only one person) was rocking it. She was kind, attentive and checked in often. The crabs were good and it was awesome to see they now have alcohol in their establishment (the bar was poppin’ off with locals.) definitely suggest they work on their indoor cooling situation with this crazy hot weather but otherwise a solid Southern Maryland charming dive. Highlights we’re the Maryland crab soup & the pickle fries were a hit!

I had forgot all about this place I used to go all the time. They have a much smaller menu now, but the food was very good ,the beer very cold and service was great. Not to mention it has a great view.

I’m almost afraid to brag about it too much because maybe I’ll get there one day and I won’t be able to get a table or the crabs will be gone. I love this place and everything about it!

This is a nice little, off the beaten path, place to get some good seafood in Maryland fashion. The building is rustic and more practical than esthetically pleasing, but it’s right on the water with views of the Benedict Bridge. I enjoyed a good lunch here last Friday with one of my best friends. The fried mushrooms are a tasty appetizer, and the crab soup is very creamy with lots of crab meat. Per our request, they sprinkled some Old Bay seasoning on top. We lingered over some tasty coffee after we ate so we could enjoy the view and catch up with each other’s lives. We were allowed to relax and not feel pressured to leave. It’s a very calm atmosphere. If you want a good place to unwind and take in the view, over some simple, but tasty food, I’d recommend it highly.

Awesome Southern hospitality and feel. Bring your boat n dock. Amazing blue crabs cooked perfectly, soft shell crabs crispy and addictive. Their steamed shrimp are also a family favorite! One of the few Hidden gems of Southern Maryland, and a glimpse from our past, that is slowly being replaced. Highly recommended! Great prices for the Quality of food.

I’m going to say I loved this place. Two adults and two kids left happy, thanks to some serious home cooking and warm Chesapeake hospitality. After crab cakes, shrimp, and an oyster sandwich, you couldn’t find a crumb on the darn table. I can’t wait to come back to fill up again and enjoy the small talk by the water. Suggestions? The bathroom could use a little attention. And a quality salad (or local corn?) instead of fries would be cool. Thanks!
