Stopped in for a bite to eat on the go and they were quick to accommodate me even though I don’t believe they actually have a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit on the menu. What they made was absolutely delicious though, definitely fresh! I could tell they all work as a team as they hustled around with purpose as I waited. They promptly greeted each customer with enthusiasm.

I have waited after ordering in restaurants for good food to be prepared, and I don’t mind waiting for good food. But wow, this place had a very long time from ordering to finally getting our food. We waited nearly an hour from the time we ordered until we got our food (I didn’t start out intending to time how long we would wait), and the restaurant was only about half full. I will say that the spinach/potato cakes with tomato gravy were fantastic–I’ve never had anything like them. However, the chocolate chip waffle was just a waffle with a few chocolate chips sprinkled on top–a bit disappointing. So some good food, yes…but if you don’t have a lot of time, probably a no.

We stopped here for brunch today and it was a very pleasant experience. I had the spinach & mashed cakes with tomato gravy with sides of perfectly poached eggs and rye toast and my husband had the Charleston chicken biscuit with heirloom grits. Everything was soooo good and the grits were phenomenal! They have a much larger texture than modern grits but the taste is fabulous with just a hint of spiciness. They use many local producers and for their grits, they get from Farm & Sparrow in Mars Hill which I’ll be ordering their grits. Coffee was good from Dynamite Coffee but wished it was a bit hotter to hold up to the cooler cream as I like it really hit. Overall, a fabulous experience with many vegan, gluten free options. Can’t wait to take family there!

Went after a Dr appointment and it was really good. I love breakfasts and enjoyed our choices. Bread pudding for dessert was a good decision.

I’m so disappointed with this place. I’m in Asheville for 1 night and wanted to get some food that I thought would be awesome. The menu looked great and is very extensive. I ordered the western omelet and the biscuit French toast. When I ordered online I timed it so when I got there my food would be ready. When I arrived my food was given to someone else so I had to wait to get it remade. That wasn’t a big deal. I was looking forward to really fresh food. But the biscuit French toast was cold, hard and stale. It was sadly missing the whipped cream. I was really sad to see my omelet came without the sour cream, as it said it came with it on the menu. I ran back in to get it but the waitress said they were out. If I knew they didn’t have sour cream I would not have ordered that. The omelet was fine. Nothing special about it. I’m sad I waisted my one meal in Asheville on this place. In my opinion, it was not worth $32 for both items. Especially the French toast biscuit.

Friendly service. I was wanting a lighter breakfast and was disappointed that they had run out of eggs. We sat in the heated outdoor patio and it was nice on a rainy day. Would return.

Nice little breakfast spot. Everyone was very nice with smiles on their faces. Interesting menu that didn’t disappoint. The waffles were some of the best I’ve had lately.

After my first bit, I decided to take a picture and write a review. They have the best tofu scramble in Asheville. If you haven’t tried it yet, it taste really good and is much healthier than eggs because it doesn’t have any cholesterol. A single egg has 187 mg of cholesterol. The egg industry says this is okay, don’t believe them. Try the tofu scramble at Early Girl!
