The food and service were outstanding! We were on the train today (Sunday) and when we arrived in Lake Placid we found almost everything closed. However, not only was Schoonies open, but they opened on this Sunday specifically to serve us train riders!! Says a lot about their servant hearts ❤️ The owners circled the restaurant several times to make sure everybody was happy. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We came in on a train tour to a town pretty much closed for business on Sunday. This pizza place was one of two restaurants who opened up just for the tour company and they did an EXCELLENT job accomodating the large crowd. The food quality might have suffered a little, but I will definitely come back! Thank you so much for your AMAZING HOSPITALITY!!!

Lunch was amazing and the service was great. The lady there was doing every single table and she was amazingly efficient. The fried pickles were amazing! We also had pizza, meatball sub, parmesan chicken sub, Cuban and tuna melt and all was great!

Addictive Italian dishes like the burger melt sandwich. And the chicken parmigiana spaghetti with knot bread rolls! Nice and warm from oven. Couldn’t finish it all, got too full! Would have loved to try desserts next time.

We have been there before and had good experiences but not tonight. Ordered a pizza and fried pickles. Ten minutes later was told oven was down so we ordered something else. Another 15 minutes asked where are the pickles. Finally got them. Table of 4 comes in, orders, and gets their food. Still nothing for us. Finally get food. Spoke to management. Acted like they didn’t care. Entered the place at 5:10 and left at 6:45. Won’t be back.
