The Hungry Road
(Last visited on 5/26/2021.) My coworker spotted this food truck/cart one afternoon and said he wanted to try it. So we did and it was so satisfying that we went back again the next day! Here’s why!

This sandwich really hits the spot, would highly recommend trying this place out if you’re near engineering

Bread is always disappointing. This time the sandwich was bland and simply not worth it.

This has gotta be one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in years, and it literally only took 5 min of waiting, 11/10

Bread was burnt, not enough meat, and did not order a carrot sandwhich

I honestly can’t say enough good about Saigon Sandwich. The best Bahn Mi in Madison, and the best lunch to be found on campus. They are a totally reasonable price, and for the flavor you get I think that makes them underpriced. You order via QR code, so there is no line to place an order, just to pick up & pay. I usually get the Special Combo w/ everything except half as much jalapeno as usual because I’m a bit of a wus for spice.

Fantastic. Go here every once in a while when I forget to pack lunch. Worth it every time.

Would’ve been 5* except the bread let it down. It is not real bahn mi bread. The fillings were very tasty pickles were good, great amount of cilantro and jalapeños. Also a mark off because the Vietnamese iced coffee was slight bitter. Price is good with all bahn mi sandwiches at $5.50. Would come here again if it was on my way or in the area

There is no better lunch around the west campus area. That is an indisputable fact. Always fresh, always delicious. The Vietnamese coffee is also incredible, like a dessert after your lunch.

Sooo delicious. I love banh mi sandwiches but I’m super picky about them. The way Saigon Sandwiches make them is fresh, crunchy, warm and tastes exactly like my childhood! I could eat these everyday.
