You can’t go wrong with the beach and when it come to cravings everyone loves tacos. So we figured why not! Let’s taste some local flavor and see if the buzz is buzzing toward the right kind of food. We ordered our so cal favorites: chicken quesadilla, rolled tacos, carne sada burrito and chimichanga beef. Out of all the selection the chicken quesadilla and the carne was the best. I came in with four friends and ordered standard tacos and burritos. The line started to build up behind us so the cook/cashier took everyone’s orders and proceeded to make their food first since they only ordered one thing. Had I ordered the plates individually, he would have served us first but instead I watched him call several orders after us only because we had multiple things. Wouldn’t recommend this place, there’s plenty of other good taco shops in the area.

I paid $18. For the smallest portioned meal I have ever ordered in my 46 years. You can get twice the portions for about $12. At any other mexican food restaurants in oceanside.

Sorry to do this. I seldom write a bad review. Absolutely the worst food I and my daughter and her friend have ever eaten. Inedible fries. No way to describe them. Taco was chewy and the meat flavorless. The tamale was scary gross watery greasy texture. No one ate their food except for barely acceptable rice and beans. I don’t know where these good ratings are coming from. I got sick.

I just got food from there two California’s and a bean and cheese gotta say I’m not going back and I don’t recommend for any one and on top of that the lady taking are order was rude didn’t have any patience when we asked about certain items the beans had no flavor and the cheese tasted aged on the California burritos were supper dry she said they sour cream but didn’t get it till the last bite and the meat had no Flavor i expected more! Don’t go there !

I’m sorry to those people who make their judgement about California’s Mexican food from this place. These people have no pride in making food. I wonder if they’ve even tasted their own food. The meat should not look gray. Their burrito had no flavor. Also look at their Yelp reviews. A good tasty place just down the block, Colima’s Mexican Food is very good.
