I went in really excited to try this place, I love a good hot dog. Prices are great, can get a dog, drink and side for less than $5. But honestly once I got the dog I wasn’t overly impressed. It wasn’t piping hot, and I added cheese to mine, thinking it would be shredded, but it was sliced cheese. Maybe if the dog was extremely hot, that would have worked, but cold cheese on anything lukewarm just isn’t good. Place has potential, but overall just an ok experience for me.

Difficult to get there due to construction in downtown Union Street, parking not easy/close. Been coming here for years. Today our hot dogs were far from hot/cold rolls. Normally served very hot. But my pretzels were freshly made and really good!! We don’t like to complain and didn’t..maybe not a busy time past 1:30 still lukewarm hot dogs not good. We’ll be back because we know it’s a great place for hot dogs but maybe if our first time there we wouldn’t .

Went it for the first time 30 minutes before they closed. The man who I assume was the owner was so kind and nice. The prices are amazing. Hot dog, big pretzel and a drink = cheaper than any fast food place.

Love the way they handled the noon time rush..I showed up around noon and got to really see the crew communicate and make it happen..as a first timer there was no rush as she explained the options even with a crowd building behind..all in all the xhilli on the dog was delicious but the Pretzels sold the deal ..it was great …will definitely return and next time bringing the kiddies..good job not just franks.

Their food is delicious, it’s really affordable, and the staff are always very nice and very fast. We were still working on paying and they’d already gotten our food ready! We come here fairly often considering I’m not much for hot dogs, but they’re really good and the pretzels are amazing. They have quite a few choices for dipping sauces for the pretzels too, sweet and savory.

Decided to try this charming spot while I was passing through town. One thing to note is the food is downright affordable for what it is. 2 dogs + chips + a drink for $5.85. And that portion is perfect for an average lunch. I got the Sweet Carolina and Chipotle Dog. I thought the Chipotle had more flavor but both were solid. I think they boil their dogs. Don’t expect this place to replace your JJs Red Hots or Vic The Chili Guy, but this place definitely has some good stuff especially for the price! And the staff is super friendly! Their pretzels looked tasty too. Would absolutely come back!
