Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

My mgr bought us lunch today for our meeting. I ordered a number four. I got half way through and thought, man they really skimped out on the meat. I looked at the piece in my hand then verified with the other half. Not a slice of meat in that whole sandwich. I was looking forward to that too.

This JM location is hit or miss for me. Often, the subs are great, truly spot on. But too many times I get bread with stale ends or don’t get the extra meat I paid for. It’s frustrating! When ordering on the app, you can’t know the sandwich is lacking until you get home.

They make really good subs for a fast food place, and that’s coming from someone who is serious about subs. I get either the #2 loaded up with pickles, jalapenos, banana peppers and pepper sread or the #17 cheesesteak with the addition of yellow mustard.
