I ordered pizza for my family seeing as the restaurant was close and had good reviews overall. Looking at some of the photos on here, our pizza looked nothing like those photos. Toppings were scarce and the dough was tasteless. I’ve never actually called a restaurant to complain, but after spending $30 on something we couldn’t eat…my family persuaded me to. The owner did call the same evening, and while he was nice he offered a discount on our next meal. We live out of state and were visiting for a short time. Also, I didn’t want to spend more of our money on something that we didn’t remotely like the first time. Ending up ordering from Casey’s which is apparently what we should have done to begin with.

I really love the Pizza and the Italian Beef. If you are looking for Great Italian Food. Come here they treat you like family! Had one problem with a order and actually got a call from the Owner. He did everything to make me feel at home and took care of the problem. If you want exceptional food with wonderful old world charm. Come to Sam’s. You wont be disappointed.

Have been coming here since I was a kid. Over the years this place has declined. The kids running the restaurant have no pride nor good manners. We drove across town for pizza. The pizza was burnt. The last time we ordered we didn’t get all our toppings. I don’t think we will be driving across town any more. When u call they are rude. Treat u like they don’t believe they screwed up ur pizza. They want u to drive across town to bring it back. There pizza is good. But the service has really declined.Very disappointed.

My favorite pizza on Springfields northend! If you call in your order they have it ready quickly. the rare times they don’t have it ready you lose track of time looking at everything hung on the walls. I’ve never ate inside but the staff is always friendly when I pick up.

We must have hit an off night. We ordered a pizza, some garlic bread, and hot wings. The pizza crust was an odd texture, thin and tough. The garlic bread was not crunchy at all. The wings were okay.

The pizza took an hour to get made and served to us and then there was so much cheese slopped all over it that we could barely see any other ingredients. We were about to leave after waiting so long, but we decided to taste it as we were hungry!! The manager offered 25% off the meal which we took but we left the majority of the pie. In my opinion she should have comped the whole meal as it was a pretty unappetizing mess and the wait was way too long! Sorry to say that we will not go there again!!!

In Springfield visiting family. Ordered a large pizza and a salad from Sam’s.Got it back to the house and opened the pizza box. Barely any toppings on it. The crust was hard and tasted very bland. Out of four people not one of us could eat more than a bite or two. We had to make a new order for Casey’s pizza. It was delicious. We visit Springfield at least twice a year and we will never eat at Sam’s again, and our family in Springfield won’t either.Owner was given a chance to make it right and chose to make excuses instead.

This is a great stop for lunch. There is a lot of Italian heritage hanging on the walls. The place is so old inside that it feels cool. They keep it clean. The staff is hard working. The food is great and decently priced. I would recommend for a nice lunch meeting.

We used to love to come here, but after the experience we just had will never ever spend our money here again. My husband called earlier in the day and spoke to a young lady in regard to our concerns about the recent quality and that we wanted to place an order later in the evening , we explained the concerns we have had and she told us she would make sure when we called that we would have a great experience this time. We called places the order and I explained we had spoken to a lady earlier and our concerns of quality everything was fine until we came in to pay….a young lady was walking from the kitchen to the lobby on a phone disscussing our call in front of many customers and how we we’re trying to pull a scam on someoneto get free food, we paid for our food in full and never requested any form of a discount whatsoever, we just wanted the quality Sam’s used to be. Highly unprofessional and disrespectful to your customers who have loved this place for 15 years plus. The puzxa was good, but the standards that are set in this place for what is professional are non existent
