Small panadería throwback to Haley Street before the bougie coffee, hipster beer, and other spillover across the freeway (i.e. the Haley Street Nerf Herder celebrates in their iconic tune “Down on Haley”). In addition to great Mexican pastries, wonderful tamales during Christmas time. Rajas, pork, chicken. $3/tamale and you have to order in advance but worth it.

I ordered a BLT with wheat bread. The bacon is freshly cooked, the deep grill marks on the bread give me that cruch I look for. There’s a good layer of sauce that doesn’t make the bread soggy
