Fresh ingredients and friendly staff. This place is a keeper. Small place so seating is limited. Reviewed simple menu and ordered at the counter. Ordered the chips and queso, AL Pastor burrito bowl, and a quesadilla to share (couple pieces missing before I could take pic). First the burrito bowl – fresh ingredients, meat and rice were moist, and beans made for a tasty meal. I’ve had many a meal where the meat was dry and the rice tasteless but this was not the case here. The chips were warm and well salted. The creamy queso was light and tasty. The chicken quesadilla had ample cheese and chicken on a freshly made tortilla. Excellent all the way round. Several others got a variety of tacos and enjoyed each one. Will definitely be back.

10/10 all around. From great service to quality of food. I asked the owner Rob to surprise me with 4 different tacos, and he delivered. Much much better than what I expected. Big tacos and big flavor. Nice little bar to sit at and devour. This place is a must try and I will be returning, very soon!

I must apologize for not capturing a before picture of our delectable meal, but let me assure you that the culinary experience at this extraordinary establishment is truly unparalleled. If your dishes do not resemble the mouthwatering masterpiece that we indulged in, then I am at a loss for words. This place is absolutely incredible from the very moment you step foot inside until the moment we reluctantly bid our farewells. We were initially drawn to this place for their renowned birria, but little did we know that we would be leaving with an insatiable desire to sample every single variety of their tantalizing tacos. I must say, the oxtail and octopus dish I had was absolutely phenomenal and truly out of this world! The octopus was flawlessly cooked, resulting in a truly exquisite dish. As for the oxtail tacos, they are simply out of this world, leaving you craving for more with every bite. Without a doubt, the best place to indulge in a culinary experience in Sarasota. You absolutely must try this place out! The owner is incredibly cool, hailing all the way from the vibrant east coast.

My wife and I enjoyed an incredibly memorable meal. Can’t stop thinking about the tacos on homemade tortillas. I had pork belly, ox-tail, pulpo and birrea…all were amazing. Owner is super friendly and cares greatly about his craft. Awesome experience!

Great food, oxtail and duck tacos are amazing. Queso is perfect and blue corn tortillas are delicious. Try the purple wine while you’re here or the Mango Banana Vodka Soda. Definitely some of the best Mexican food in Sarasota!

Kids and I visiting from the Midwest, but I also lived in Arizona 25 years. So I know authentic Mexican food, and this place is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! They nailed it! The carne asada was the most tender we have ever had, fish tacos on blue corn tortillas, so delicious. Definitely recommend and will be back next time we are in Sarasota! Thanks!

Always a delicious experience. Lamb taco or burrito are both amazing. Make sure to order lamb confit to dip your lamb taco. Al pastor is sooooo good. The pineapple is juicy and sweet. Blackened fish is light tasty and satisfying. The best part is the blue mesa house made tortillas!
