Delicious Korean fried chicken & great service, but the Bulgogi was way over-priced. $20 for barely any meat. There was maybe 5 actual strips of beef, the rest is scrap and veggies.

Really disappointed with the quality of Korean fried chicken here. I’m from the Boston area and I haven’t had bonchon in a while so I was craving some and decided to stop by to eat. The seasoned fries were good as always but as soon as our plate of chicken wings came out I was genuinely surprised. First of all, one thing I noticed immediately was the size. The wings looked massive compared to what I remembered. I went ahead and took a bite but the skin was so hard (different from the texture you’d get from a good crunchy skin). Once I got through with the bite I saw that there was so much space in between the meat and the outer layer, hence the size (see pic for detail). One of the wings outer shell was so hard it broke off when I bit into it. I’m not sure if bonchon just changed their recipe or something but all I could say was I was something was different. I won’t be coming to this location for sure. If you are used to the quality of Boston or new York Korean fried chicken, I’ll recommend you all to not order from here.

We came here for a quick lunch and stood by the sign that said “please wait to be seated.” Nobody came to seat us for 13 minutes, even though there was no other customer. It turns out that there was one server who was sitting hidden in a booth seat watching basketball on the big screen. When he finally popped his head out, he seated us and then went back to watch the game.

We visited a Bonchon location out of state years ago and have been dying to go back ever since. Though long overdue, we finally visited the West Hartford location last night, and our experience was just as good, if not better, than we remembered. The batter and sauces on the fried chicken are fantastic, and the chicken itself was so fresh. The salmon avocado ball was delicious, and I can be critical of pork buns, so I ordered them to see how they compared to some of my favorite places. Bonchon nailed them! Flavorful sauces were used, the pork belly was great, and most importantly, the bun was soft and not dry. We tried Bull Dak for the first time and loved it, and of course it’s always fun when it comes in a sizzling hot plate. The bibimbap was tasty as well, and I liked the Bulgogi as a protein choice. Our servers were friendly and attentive, and the location was very clean and modern. I highly recommend checking this Bonchon location out!

Hubby and I ate at Bonchon this afternoon. It was my first time, but he’d been to locations in his home state before. Let me tell y’all, I was in love! The food was AMAZING! I said to my hubby, it must be crack , because the food was that damn good! Our server was awesome, the space was clean and beautiful. Everything was perfect. The pork buns were to die for! So tender and delicious. Hubby LOVED the chicken! He got the 6wing/3drum combo and for $14.85, that was a lot of chicken, not to mention the wings and drums were HUGE, he couldn’t finish it all – he’s a big eater and rarely has leftovers! We also had the fried pickles and I had ramen with chicken and the spicy miso broth – I love authentic ramen and this didn’t disappoint! It was so delicious! The broth had depth and wasn’t overly spicy. I can’t wait to go back!

Ordered the soy garlic seasoned chicken wings and they tasted absolutely delicious. The crunch, flavor and tenderness makes you want to become a glutton! Had to force myself to stop eating

Two different kinds of wings soy garlic, and toothpick side was the spicy. Tacos and fries. Food was amazing freshly made in a timely manner, service was friendly fast, and atmosphere was laid back.

They have the best wings and fried rices. The wings are fried to perfection and the sauces they offer complements it well. The fried rice is very tasty and chewy, I can tell that they didn’t cheap out.

My family came in excited for a good meal. Our waiter wasn’t very nice ! Our food came to the table and another young female with long design nails brought our food to our table. My husband ask her for sauce and she rolled her eyes ! Then she threw the sauce down on our table. She didn’t do to anyone else . My husband and I was very turned off because we felt like she didn’t like African American people. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!! Horrible service ! I had my children with me as well and I have to explain to they some people will treat you different due to your skin color! I will never spend my money in this establishment ever again!!!!!

Chicken is ok, not sure what all the hype is. Pretty bland, don’t even dare to ask for extra soy garlic sauce if ur wings come out dry, they won’t give u any. Customer service is horrible!!! The young Asian waitresses seem very racist. They tend to white customers and ignore others. Takes very long for service, wings never come out hot. I tried giving this place a chance but they won’t get my $ anymore! They are also very expensive for mediocre food.
