Ghandis is the best Indian food in Portland, hands down. The new owner Is super friendly and has even improved the already impressive plates.

This place is delish! Almost made the mistake of not stopping here. So much food – the combo plate is definitely enough for 2 large meals. If you have an auntie or uncle, this is what they would cook for you – you can feel the love in each bite.

Combo plate- Large portions but lacked your usual strong flavors of indian cuisine. The rice and all four dishes were luke warm at best. Guy serving was personable and kind.

Very tasty food, friendly staff, big combo packs more than sufficient for one person. The old lady at front was too nice like a mother..

Great atmosphere, great service, ok food. All dishes were under-salted (a chronic problem in the current culinary state of society) which neutered all of the natural flavors. We tried seven different entrées and while the textures we’re good, the flavors were far too subtle and the spicy dishes were overwhelmed with spice because of that. Hot tip: be sure to order hot fresh Naan, whether you want plain or garlic. The standing naan from the buffet is not the way to go.

Rock-Solid, everything flavorful, and affordable for the location. I’ve been there across multiple lunches now. For lunch, it’s a very casual plate-lunch place. You can sample all of the sauces, and then you can choose a single item or a combo plate with 2 meat and 2 veggie sauces topping a mountain of rice. You will leave VERY FULL if you finish everything. The butter chicken is incredible, but very rich. I probably wouldn’t be able to have a full dish of just that.

I went there but was closed but google map showed that they were open. When I called the restaurant a very rude person answered my call and said we are closed when I asked him that google says that you are open and he said very rudely that he does not care what google says .Very disappointing experience.Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise bz what kind of food you can expect from such a person .So becareful visiting that place as you are sure to be treated very rudely and most likely to be served very substandard food .

I had a really disenchanting experience here that left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I came here alone a few weeks ago… no one was at the counter (not a big deal at all) and a minute or so later a lady came up from back kitchen area. I told her I was low on cash but that I wanted to get some papadom and a chai tea. Right around then a girl with a hoodie on who was probably of eastern descent walked in and stood behind me. The lady helping me motioned me to step aside so she could help her instead. A little taken back I did as I was told… the girl had quite the nice little order to choose. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, 2 potatoes, oh and could she have just a little bit of that too… a few minutes go by and she’s finally finished pushing the boundaries of cost and the woman goes to her register to ring the girl up. And Lo AND BEHOLD, what does the girl say to her?
