At our Seneca, SC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. The staff was really polite and apologized several times for having to cook everything fresh as they were 30 minutes from closing. We ended up having to go back because a tray was left out of our order, but the manager working gave us extra for our trouble. Definitely will be back again.

I saw the times listed as closing at 10 pm ,arrived at 9:22,dining room closed ,the website make no mention of this , however the drive thru was open .Got my order and when home discovered the fish was under cooked .The nice young woman taking my order seemed confused about my coupon -took 3 tries and some questions to the supervisor before the correct price would be achieved. I usually enjoy coming here , but not this time .

What the heck is going on with this location? Yesterday was the 2nd time we have TRIED to eat here. Both times it was around 1pm in the afternoon and they appeared to be closed. The 1st time we could see 1-2 employees inside and the doors were locked. And yesterday it was just after 1pm and it looked totally deserted.

I waited at the speaker for 13 minutes without even getting to put in an order. The employee said he would be with me in a minute when I first pulled up, and that was the last acknowledgement I received. I asked if they were ready for my order twice, at approximately 5 and 10 minutes into my wait, with no response. Another car pulled in behind me, and left during this time also. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt in case they were short handed, but considering there were maybe 3 customer cars in the parking lot, I think that kind of wait is ridiculous. I had my dog in the car, and couldn’t leave her in there to go inside, but if the service is this poor at the drive through, I didn’t expect any better inside anyway.

Today, 9/27/17, my friend and I went in for lunch. I visit Captain D’s about once or twice a year. I live in Greenville and we don’t have one. Their food is usually very good. Today, The 1st thing I noticed was how slippery the floors were. I literally had to hold on to the wall, counters etc to prevent a fall! I think it was due to the fact there was no AC running and humidity had built up on the tile floor. It was 90 degrees outside. We got our food in a timely manner and slid to our seats. When we got to our seats there were little kids skating around the room like it was roller city! Even the adults were talking about it. We ate our food, which was sub par compared to times past. When we got ready to go, we got a carry out box. It had a long black hair wrapped around it! I won’t be going back.

Went here for lunch last week with a friend, ordered our meals. However when they were brought to the table there was a huge difference. He .had tons of fries on his plate, however I barley had a handful. Very inconsistent on portion size. Will not go back due to this problem.

Repeatedly been back to give them another chance, but repeatedly we have been disappointed. This time the tables were nasty the trash/plates staked high on the trash cans. We waited forever on our food. When it arrived our order wasn’t complete. She said I will bring your corn out shortly, it never came. We asked about it and they got an attitude like it was our fault. I would understand if they were busy, but they were all hanging out behind the counter and only had a couple of customers. The fish was and shrimp was good at least..

It’s 2017 & with so much competition from other restaurants it seems that your company would step it’s game up! I visited store #3453 literally just 15mins ago. I ordered the 2 piece fish & 6 shrimp meal with fries. Got home & evidently the fish must of sat in grease b/c it had absolutely no crunch to it. It was like rubber! The shrimp were overcooked & fries had no taste! I couldn’t eat any of it & had to throw the whole plate in the trash! I work too hard for my money to waste it on a meal that I couldn’t even eat. I will say the only postive feedback I have is that the lady at the window was very nice! Other than that my experience was horrible! From reading other post on your page it seems that you don’t care about customers. Most posts go unanswered. If you would take heed to constructive criticism maybe you could do better with the food! I wouldn’t even feed what was served to me to a wild pig! Your company has to do better or you’ll soon be out of business! I am disappointed & dissatisfied!

Horrible! Decided to try this restaurant based on the ads. Should have looked at the reviews. Got the crab cake dinner, hubs got the Ultimate – my “sides” (green beans and broccoli) were cooked to mush and had been sitting too long in the warming tray; crab cakes were burnt in spots, and tasted really off. Could not even eat the food. Will have a salad at home for dinner. Never. Ever. Again.
