After taking my daughter on a tour of UVA, we stumbled upon Take It Away Sandwhich Shop. Let me premise this review by saying cold sandwiches are usually low on my list of things I’d like to eat. The flavors on the typical cold sandwich are, in my opinion kinda boring. Sadly, I will now be craving the Elliewood Club sandwich. We live seveal hours away. This sandwich was SO GOOD. Went to try this and the place was packed! I was a little worried because of the grumblings from other patrons about wait times, but despite the craziness my food was ready quickly. The girl behind the counter looked a bit overwhelmed and stressed by how busy it was but she was still cordial and friendly. When I got back, the food was absolutely phenomenal and without any errors across 3 sandwiches – a miracle in the current take out food climate. Do recommend!
