Going out on a Thursday evening we found the restaurant quiet and not full of customers. That said… The food was THE BEST I have ever had! I would highly recommend everything. Our sushi was the freshest I have ever eaten and beautifully presented. Can’t wait to return.

Sushi deluxe, the dark angel roll, and the spicy cowgirl roll were outstanding! We sat at the bar, the service was excellent and very friendly. Food and drinks were timely on what appeared to be a busy evening. Best sushi we have experienced in Danbury.

It’s a good place for sushi. We have been there many times. The service is good and the food is good. The portions seem to get smaller and the prices go up. That’s pretty common these days unfortunately.

When the old owner was there this place was top notch, since the new owner took over this service has dropped terribly. Our waitress today was like half asleep and not aware of what was going on. We made a reservation for 7:15 werent served until 8:15-8:30 and manager didn’t care. We ordered food and my aunt order a pineapple fried rice they made up some concoction and I had to ask what happens to the pineapple – they said they didn’t have it so I asked for it to be taken back and off the check – check comes hasn’t been taken off. The service was slow other than the cook who did the hibachi he was very welcoming and did great with my children which I appreciated. Other than that we won’t be returning until service becomes their #1 priority.

Love the sushi and the atmosphere of this place. Plenty of seating on a Friday night. Also some outside seating. They have high chairs for your kids. The appetizers ( shumai, gyoza and edamame) were cooked perfect. The sushi was amazing. I got the godzilla and dynamite rolls which i would get again. My wife got spicy tuna rolls and she enjoyed everything as well. We have to try the hibachi next.

I had a fruit fly in my drink, sent it back and there was another fruit fly in my second drink.. clearly they are having issues with keeping their station clean. Given the circumstances I thought comping part or all of my meal would be fair- but this was not done.

If I could give no stars, I would In a heartbeat. This place is so trash idk why this place has such high rating because they are racist and don’t care about their customers. I came with my family, party of 10, we had a 630 reservation. Everyone showed up at 640 and we were seated right after another large party. Then a party of 5 came and they were also seated. We waiting about 40 mins before even getting our drinks and we only got them because one of us brought it to their attention that no one had come to check on us. Then we asked if we could put in our food orders while the drinks were being taken since we had been waiting so long and the guy (who was visibly annoyed that we had the audacity to ask for drinks) told us no, he was only taking drinks. We then kept waiting and were never brought our soups or salads, but the party that was seated after us already had drinks and their soups and salads and they also got to place their order. They only had one hibachi cook and then he started cooking for the first party that arrived. We were completely ignored and it can’t be a coincidence that we were Latinos and the other table were white people. We decided to leave because at this point we had been waiting an hour and still didn’t have any food or appetizers. They then had the gall to charge for the drinks instead of being apologetic and irresponsible for cooking multiple hibachi and only one cook. We used to come all the time for events, never coming again

Stopped by here “spur of the moment” on our trip to NY. Found it on Google Maps, looked at the menu and saw the rating. Bambu wasn’t a big detour off our route either, so we went for it…and are we SO GLAD we did!! Ordered soft shell crab and king crab with asparagus soup as appetizers. Fabulous!! The soft shell crab came with a dipping sauce made from a Japanese fruit which, quite honestly, made lemon and/or butter look paltry by comparison. The host took the time to come to our table and explain it’s origin to us. He was very friendly, open, and approachable. Not stiff, formal, and rushed as some hosts/hostesses are in other restaurants have been that we’ve been to. We had the Bambu Boat for dinner. AMAZING! Well worth the money. The sushi chef is very talented and an artist to boot. The sushi and sashimi were so fresh and so uniquely prepared. We’ve had many boats in many sushi restaurants, Bambu is by far THE BEST ever! I wish we lived closer!
