First time trying Dakota mex and I liked it a lot . If you are wanting to spice things up you gotta add those sprinkles. The beef tacos and the beef enchiladas were tasty. Don’t be afraid to add those secret sprinkles.

Trying to be a little generous here because it seems the owners are also the cook and server, and they’re friendly as can be, however. while the beef enchiladas are pretty tasty the chicken enchilada just wasn’t what one would expect, diced chunks of chicken in an enchilada. The chips and salsa are definitely store-bought and the cheapest available. The Pepsi was flat which happens but we did not complain because we didn’t figure there was a remedy given the other deficiencies. There is no ambiance as it seems this location was put together for the least amount of money possible and frankly what was most unforgivable to me was that the restroom stall did not have a door on a bathroom that is multi-use. For $15 a plate there are a whole lot of options.

Really was not impressed. I’ve eaten at just about every “Mexican” type place in Rapid and this happens to be one of the most expensive, but least tasty ones in town unfortunately. I am fairly certain that the beans were straight out of a can and microwaved, and the chicken & peppers were just that… very little flavor. No hot sauce available, just “hot sprinkles”. The cook & staff were very friendly, no complaints there.
