The philly cheese steak was exactly what I was hoping it would be. As a vegan visiting Philly, my options for a cheese steak are limited. But I didn’t feel like I was missing anything. It was extremely savory, hot, melty, beefy, and was on a nice hoagie that’d been lightly toasted. So good.

Gluten free options available just ask! I’m gluten free and vegan and this place was wonderful. It was like having a ‘50s burger fries and shake but I could eat it! The staff was courteous and understanding and took time to explain the different menu options and assure me that it would be safe for me to eat. My companion had no dietary restrictions but loved the shake and fries more than “traditional” ingredient places. Would recommend to anyone who wants a delicious hearty meal with only goodness for your body and the planet. Love the eco packaging commitment.

Whoa. This was actually amazing. I had the vegan philly cheesesteak and it was awesome – I loved every bite of it. The onion ring and the hip city sauce were amazing too. 10/10 would absolutely go there again to try other menu options (or even try the cheesesteak again).

Above and beyond customer service, very nice people. Everything was so good. My favorite was the Buffalo salad with bleu cheese dressing and the Philly cheesesteak. Love their free sauces also, mildly sweet and sooo delicious. Even my non vegan brother in law loved it. He really enjoyed the hip city smoky sweet chik’n’ wrap. They also offer catering. Love to Support 100% plant based, cruelty free. Highly recommended. Def coming back again, probably tomorrow haha can’t wait.

We had so much fun at our first visit to HipCityVeg tonight! Brandi was super nice, helpful, and funny as she took our orders, and Sheldon in the kitchen was determined to make some gluten free options work for my husband, even though their gluten free frier was down for the evening. I had my first Philly cheesesteak since I was a kid, and it was excellent! My husband also loved his burger and salad. We’ll be back next time we’re in Philadelphia!
