We were greeted enthusiastically even though we arrived close to closing time. They were very accommodating with wheelchair access. The service was great and despite our late arrival never felt like we were being rushed. The chutney cheese ball was exceptional. The salads were fresh and the Italian dressing was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their choices. As an added bonus, Say’s shares the space with Sara’s Wine and Bier Bar. She has a great selection of craft beers and lots of wine. The prices are more than reasonable! I loved the quirky decor and of course the Firefly Cocktail. We will be back.

Capers Emporium New Harmony
We’ve eaten at Say’s almost a dozen times now and have enjoyed it every single time. The Indonesian peanut dip with celery is a special favorite, but the beef bourgignon ranks right up there, too. The Asian chicken salad is also a top pick. Great location. Love the plants that add to the atmosphere.

I suggested that my group of three try this restaurant for lunch and I totally regret it. The atmosphere of the place drew me in, but we should have suspected that something was off as we waited for the staff to notice we needed a table. We were finally seated, with some urgency, but the quality of service after we received our first water pitcher and placed our orders GREATLY diminished. Unfortunately, that was not all that made the experience such a negative one. There were very limited menu options, all of which were rather costly. Additionally, the restaurant currently only accepts cash and Apple Pay. As for the food itself, it just tasted bad. The ranch dressing was a winner, but the foods we ate alongside it were not. I thought it was nice having access to the adjoining bar at Sara’s, and I did enjoy a beer from there. Overall, this experience was just awful. I don’t know how long this restaurant has been in town, but I can’t imagine it will last much longer if things don’t change. I hope it can improve!

Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good service, and excellent food. Decent price range as well, with plenty of parking nearby. If you want any adult beverages you can also pop right over to Sara’s as well. Currently cash or ApplePay only (and there is an ATM across the street outside the Heritage Bank). Definitely recommended if you are visiting New Harmony and want something good to eat in a pleasant place.

Our first visit here and we’ll be back for certain. Comfort foods at their best. BEST pork tenderloin sandwich we’ve ever had (and that’s saying a lot for Southern Indiana natives). Friendly and prompt service, calm and pleasant atmosphere.

Oof, that was very disappointing! Very overpriced and the service was very slow. I had the caramelized onion grilled cheese and all I could taste was the sweetness of the onion. The bruschetta tasted fine, but $6 for four small pieces was a little shocking. The ranch dressing was great, and the atmosphere was nice! Cash or Apple Pay only.

Visited April 20th 2023 and found the restaurant closed. No indication of when it will reopen. Sarah’s wine bar is connected to the restaurant and it is not open currently.
